~~~~(Amy's POV)~~~~
It's been three weeks since Rebecca and Derek came home. Katie and Luke seem so happy. Especially the others, Quil and Claire have been together like glue. Claire is twelve now, the years have flown by so fast. Carly and Seth graduated a week ago, and not to mention Emily and Sam finally got married two days ago.
Emily was a nervous wreck but the ceremony was beautiful. Emily made some deserts, against our protests. Rachel just announced that she was pregnant and, man life is just full of surprises. Anyway back to reality, Derek has joined in on patrols but he seems distant.
I'm at home playing with the kids. Lilly and Liam are now five, and our younger ones are three. I put frozen in the DVD player for the kids, as I made supper. Tonight we were having homemade pizza and garlic bread. I just placed the pizza in the oven, when the door opened.
I turned around and saw Embry with Leah. They both have the same face, but I can't what emotion it is.
"Amy we need to talk." Embry said. I looked to the kids and decided to wait until after dinner.
"Can it wait until after dinner? I don't wish for our kids to hear." They both nod. Soon the pizza was done and we all began to eat. After dinner the kids were back in the living room watching toy story. After I was sure they were occupied, I turned to Leah and Embry. "No what is it you wanted to talk about?"
"There's another pack." I was confused.
"Another pack?"
"Derek, he had friends before he shifted. When he did they did as well, but...they kept it a secret. No one knew, they stayed out of sight, when we were on patrol." Leah spoke.
"How do you know all of this?"
"When we were at Sam's, a bunch of wolves appeared. Derek came out and the wolves followed him. After that, Derek explained everything about him and his pack to us." Embry said.
"How many are in his pack?"
"Four, including Derek, that makes five." Embry replied.
"Names?"
"Elijah, Aiden, Raymond, and Vincent." Leah said. I nod my head letting the information sink in.
"Okay, thanks for telling me. Embry can you watch the kids, I need to go for a run." He nods his head and went to play with the kids. I walked outside and heard footsteps behind me. I turn to see Leah and she said,
"Can I talk to you about something?" I nod my head, we both phased and ran. We ran until we stopped at a river for a break.
'What did you wish to speak to me about?' Leah faced me then looked down at the river.
'Remember when I saw Luke for the first time?' I nod my head. 'Well turns out he's not my imprint.' My ears perked up.
'How's that possible?'
'When Derek's pack came to Sam's....one wolf caught my eye. He was a grey wolf like Paul but darker. He stared at me and hesitated when leaving with Derek. He couldn't take his eyes off me.'
'Do you know who it was?'
'Elijah' I looked towards the night sky.
'You know, now you won't have to worry about your imprint being to young. If he's the same age as Derek, then he should be at least a year or two older than you.' I could feel Leah's gaze on me. I smiled knowing that she will finally get a chance to have a relationship.
There was rustling in the trees and bushes that surrounded us. Leah and I turned around to the noise. My ears perked up, trying to decipher what it was. Then I smelled the scent of shifters. Five wolves came out of the tree line. One was Derek, the one on his right was a dark brown like Quil but was close to a black. The one on his left was a mix of red and brown. The one behind the red and brown wolf, was a light Carmel brown wolf. Then I seen the wolf Leah was talking about behind the very dark brown wolf.
