Not very windy, not too cold, just perfect. Cora thinks as she steps outside of her house in Ohio, at 6 in the morning on a Saturday, with her German Sheppard named Shadow to accompany her. It's early December and that means hunting season has started. She's been preparing herself for this since October, deer season is her favorite of them all. She gets to bring out her .243 Remmington 'Muddy Girl', or as Cora likes to call it, her "baby".

"Shit, where did I leave my truck keys!" Cora cusses and frantically feels every pocket she has as Shadow cocks his head to the side in confusion. Cora runs back into her house and instantly stops in her tracks and facepalms.

"You've got to be kidding me, how stupid am I!? I LEFT THEM IN THE TRUCK LAST NIGHT!" She groans and trudges back outside. Being the great white hunter she is, she has to keep her ammo supply up. So Cora had to make a late night run to Redding's, the local gun shop, and stock up on shotgun shells while they still had a few boxes on hand.

She reaches down and scratches behind Shadow's ear, earning a bark and an excited tail wag from her faithful friend. Cora looks into the duffle bag in the bed of her dark blue 1984 Chevy Silverado. Orange jacket with license, check; box of bullets, check; all purpose paper (toilet paper) in case I need to take a shit, check.

"I think that's everything, am I missing anything Shad?" The German Sheppard jumps up and gives a loud bark for a reply.

"Alright then boy, let's go get us some breakfast so we don't go out on an empty stomach!" Cora opens the passenger side door for Shadow to get in and makes her way to the driver's side. Proceeding to start the truck and speed out of the driveway. Making their way to The Book And Table, a tiny little old fashioned restaurant with a few tables that's always open bright and early during hunting season. It was pretty much a tradition for Cora's family to eat there before they went out to their tree stands.

"Good morning Lyra, how've you been?" Cora greets the owner as she walks through the door. Lyra's the typical older lady that makes new friends anywhere she goes, she's just a very sweet lady (who makes damn good desserts).

"Why, good morning baby doll! I haven't seen you in here for quite sometime now." Lyra exclaims. Cora goes to respond until the front door slams closed making her jump and spin around. Two men. One significantly taller than the other. The shorter one looked about early to mid thirties, short light brown hair, piercing emerald eyes, and amazing facial structure. The taller one looked about late twenties to early thirties, longer brown hair, vibrant green/hazel eyes, and has more of a cutesy-puppy face.

"Oops, I'm sorry, don't mind us." The tall one apologizes about the sudden ruckus. Lyra smiles and waves it off as a tiny accident. The boys sit down at a booth towards the back of the restaurant. That tall one's pretty cute and his voice is kinda hot too, wonder where he's from. Might as well go introduce yourself to them so you don't seem like a creeper. Cora gets up from her stool at the bar and smoothly walks her way to the booth with the disturbance-causers.

"Not from around here are you?" She asks the pair, the hot short haired one looks up at Cora.

"Nope, I take it you are though." And gives a small wink while looking her up and down. She rolls her eyes, typical men. Hopefully the other one isn't the same way.

"So what're you guys doing in this little town and at this early in the morning?" Cora questions with a hand on her hip. The handsome tall one begins to talk this time.

"Well, we are uh," he pauses and takes notice to everyone in the diner wearing camo and bright orange, "we're going out hunting after we get some food in our systems. Right Dean? My name is Sam by the way." The shorter one, Dean, is quite literally shoving a cheeseburger in his face. He nods and attempts chewing with his overly full mouth.

"Oh, that's pretty cool, you guys hunt too? My name's Cora, nice to meet you guys." She smiles at Dean and Sam, making longer eye contact with Sam rather than Dean. I guess these guys are actually cool after all...
