"Would you like to sit down with us?" Sam awkwardly asks, since Cora has been standing there. She nods and Sam scoots to the back of the booth to make room for her.
"Thank you, Sam, so where are you guys from anyways?" Cora asks, her interest in the boys gradually increasing, especially the one she is sitting beside.
"We're from Kansas, but we move around a lot." Dean answers and takes a sip of his coffee. Sam's face saddens a tad bit at Dean's words.
"Yeah we do, but at least we have each other." Sam mentions. I wonder what's happened so them in the past... It can't be something too awful good, that's for sure. She mentally converses with herself. I better quit intruding on their personal lives, I've just met them and all.
Cora slips a piece of paper under Sam's coffee cup with the words, '(XXX) XXX-XXXX - Cora Lee, call me when you wanna see the town.' written on it. She stands up and turns back to face the two gentlemen.
"It has been great meeting you guys, you both seem really nice and sweet, but I gotta head on out before someone takes my stand. I hope you two both have luck today! Let me know if you get anything and need help skinning it!" Cora bids the two farewell, pays her bill at the front register, and makes her way to her truck.
"She was pretty hot just sitting here," Dean starts as soon as Cora starts the Chevy, "but damn, she got hotter getting into that awesome truck." He smirks. Sam rolls his eyes at Dean's words, she was pretty cute though, I will admit that, just not aloud for Dean to hear. The boys finish off their coffee and Sam takes notice of the paper lying beneath the cup. Taking a quick glance at it, he smiles and shoves it in his pocket.
"Alright, let's head on out, we've gotta find this goddamn demon." Dean whispers the ending about the demon. Wouldn't want everyone to know about all the dangerous creatures that are among them on a daily basis.
~tiny little time skip~
"Got ya. You'll make me a lot of balogna for sure." BANG! The gunshot echos throughout the woods. Cora unloads her rifle and starts to head down the tree stand.
"Lovely aim you have there~" A masculine voice startles her midway down. She almost loses her balance on the last step of the ladder, she looks down at the mystery man. He smirks and grabs her by the leg and yanks. Cora yelps and kicks at the attacker, her gun still dangling from the stand.
"Get off of me you fucking bastard!" She growls and nails him in the jaw with her boot. The man steps backwards and twists his neck sideways. When he looks back up at Cora his eyes were nothing but black. Cora's eyes widen in shock and reaches for the knife in her pocket.
"I'll give you one chance to answer me. What the FUCK. ARE. YOU?" She yells hoping someone is nearby to hear her. No such luck, the black-eyed man grips a hand around Cora's throat and pushes her against a tree. Doing her best to free herself, Cora repeatedly punches his arm and kicks around. A bright white flash erupts from the man's eyes and mouth, then crashes to the ground with a loud, thud. Cora grips her throat, trying to regain the air in her lungs, with a worried looking Sam Winchester standing in her attackers place. Bloody knife in hand.
"What... Was... That?!" She wheezes out and starts to look panicked. Sam sighs, he had been hoping that he wouldn't have to explain all of this to anyone. Especially the girl he just met and thought was pretty cute.
"I'll explain everything later. But right now you need to come with me, I need to make sure that you're alright." He says and drapes his arm around her shoulders, helping her to Dean and the Impala. Sam checks Cora for any strange markings or any bruises, none making an appearance on her anyways.
"So, what in goddamn hell was that?" Cora demands, Dean looks at Sam and nods. She has the right to know after that, Sam thinks.
"Well you see, uh Cora... You were just attacked by a demon." Sam explains as simply as he can, Cora's eyes widening with each word.
"So that's what you're hunting here isn't it? Not deer?" She asks the boys. Sam gives a small nod in Cora's direction. Holy shit, everyone will think I'm insane if I tell them I was attacked by a demon, yet again Cora talks to herself. Sam gives her an awkward smile as if he's trying to forget what just happened.
"Is hunting supernatural beings easy?"
