Let The Past Wash Away

Running, I was running away. My friend was gone he left me. I was alone. I had heard Suna was in a desert so I figured I would be safe. I looked behind me to be sure I was alone and I ran into someone. "Oh my gosh sir I'm so sorry please let me go I can pay for my stay here. Do you have a hotel or a cheap apartment" I asked while rummaging in my purse. The man took my arm and helped me up. His eyes had black lines around them and his eyes were so lonely. He smiled at me but it almost looked like he would cry.

"I am sorry did I hurt you? I am the leader of this village but call me Gaara. If you want you can stay in my home to get back on your feet" he replied. I almost hugged him for his kindness but I stopped myself.

"I do not have a name s.. I mean Gaara and I would love to stay" I said as I stumbled over my own words. He smiled again as if he was relieved I was uninjured. I smiled back and he took my hand leading me to his home. He opened his door and lead me to a room. "Wow it is so big! I can not believe you are so kind. It is refreshing" I said as he grabbed a blanket and pillow. "Wow this blanket is so soft and the pillow too" I exclaimed as I began to lay on the floor.

"No you get the bed. You are a lady and it is only polite of me to treat you as such" he said and it looked like he was nervous. I nearly jumped at him again but I held back. "Am I dirty or something ma'm" he inquired as he brushed off his clothing.

"No s... I mean Gaara geze that will take some getting used to. I just was gonna hug you but I did not want to overstep my boundaries. I mean I just met you" I said as he stepped closer to me. He opened his arms and I inched into them shyly. "Thank you Gaara. You are so kind. Yay I got it right that time" I laughed nervously. He kept hugging me as if it made him feel good so I returned my arms to his shoulders. He began to sigh and let me go.

"Your eyes are so beautiful. They make me think of a sunny sky" he said as he stared into my eyes.

"Gaara are you in there I need to... Is there someone here? I can leave" a voice from behind the door said. I felt my heart sink a little and a girl in pigtails walked in along with a guy in a weird catlike hoodie. "Wow a girl? Gaara she is so cute! Can I hug her" the girl said as I got locked into a bear hug. "Where are you from? Are you staying long? I can bring some clothing if you are" she said as I heard Gaara sighing.

"I am from well... I guess here since I used to live in the desert outside this village. I plan to live here and become a citizen" I said as the girl squealed for joy.

"Temari you are so weird" the boy in the hoodie said.

"Kankuro I am just exited! I have a little sister now. What size are you" she asked while looking at my torn clothing. Kankuro grabbed me from behind.

"She wears a size 36 double d bra" he said releasing me.

"Well I guess that is one way to size me" I said while laughing. Gaara sighed again in relief. I walked over to him and he started blushing.

"Well then we will leave you two lovebirds alone" Kankuro said as he pulled Temari out of the room. Gaara blushed even more.

"Gaara go out with me tonight. I wanna show you why I had no home or name. I feel that I can trust you" I said as Gaara hugged me again. "Also if you want... We can um well date. I see no reason not to" I said while blushing and nervously twiddling my thumbs.

"I would like to but... I... I am dangerous to get close to. If you want to I would love it" he said while looking sad.

"Gaara come with me. If you can except what you will see I will date you. I am way more dangerous than any Biju. Especially if they are in a jinuichi" I said as Gaara nodded. I grabbed his hand and stopped at Temari's room. "Hey Tenari can I snag a pair of pants and a spots braw" I asked and she nodded and brought the pants and bra. "Come see this too please" I asked. She nodded and followed us. "Where is the nearest clearing or a place where there are no people. I need lots of room" I inquired as I led them to the entrance of Suna.

"Well right outside I guess what do you need to do" she asked as I led them to the outer desert.

"Promise that you will still let me stay" I said and they both nodded. "Release" I yelled making a tiger hand sign. The sand around us swirled around me. I felt my body changing and howled in pain. When I was done I yelled "clear skies!" the sand that was whipping around me cleared and Gaara saw a gigantic wolf with white fur and black markings. "If you hate me now I can leave. I will never come back" I stated.

"Beautiful. You... You are so pretty! Why would we hate you! Right Gaara" Temari inquired as Gaara began to cry.

"I knew it.. You fear me don't you. I am sorry to bother you. I will leave tomorrow" I said as my body shrank back down to normal and became human. Gaara ran to me and encased me in his arms. He embraced me tightly.

"No. You are welcome here. I am crying because I am happy that I met you today. You and I should go on that date tonight you deserve it after the hard life you must have been living" he said. I grabbed his face and gently pulled him close to mine. "What are you mph" his words got muffled because I kissed him. He blushed and held my waist in a hug. When we realized it was becoming dark Temari tapped my shoulder and handed me the clothing. We went back to Suna and Temari left us at a ramen place. Gaara paid for two big bowls of it and we ate while laughing and having a conversation. "Have a good evening sir" Gaara said as we left the ramen place. He took me to a store that had clothing in it and paid for a new uniform and bag. He also told me to pick out clothing to casually wear. I came back and had five shirts and five skirts and five pairs of pants.

I looked at Gaara and said "What outfit do you think would fit well? I have no way to know." Gaara told me to try them all on and they all looked nice and fit so he had me wait outside in the outfit Temari gave me. He came back outside with all of the stuff I picked and asked me to help with the bags. He also got me two pairs of sandals. He and I walked home and Temari walked in and so did Kankuro.

"So you got her clothing. Good she needed some. Also Temari told me about the outing before that. I approve as long as she does not tell anyone else. She is to be kept safe" Kankuro said.

I said "I am sure we can manage that." Gaara nodded and so did Temari.

"So you should sleep. We had a very long eventful day" Gaara said while looking at me. I nodded and lied down on the left hand side of the bed. He looked at me and sat on the other side of the bed and rubbed my back to help me sleep. "Can I lay down? If you say no I do not sleep anyways but I like the feeling I get when I am close to you" he said.

"If you want to I would like that. It feels nice to have a home" I replied. Gaara laid beside me and I cuddled very close he held me close and I dozed off.

"Sleep well. Tenshi will be your name now" he said as he also dozed off for the first time in years. We slept soundly through the night. I woke up earlier than him and he had a very peaceful look on his face. I got out of bed and got dressed. Gaara groaned and I laid back down. I gently moved some hair out of his face and he opened his eyes. I smiled at him and he smiled back and yawned. "Did I sleep" he asked.

"Yes you did and now you have bed head. It looks cute" I said as he stretched his arms. "So what will we do today?" I asked.

Gaara looked at my outfit and said "well I have papers to file and a meeting to attend but we can walk around and chat later ok?" I nodded and he gave me a kiss and a hug then left.
