A Mental Illness

See The Difference.
What separates the normal from the insane?
The dead from the living?
The bizarre from the extraordinary?
Nothing.
Nothing at all.
It's a matter of mind set.
The way we think.
And it's our basic principles, and ideas of what's right...
That causes us to sink.

I may not act the way you would prefer.
And I'm sorry your dream of perfection has been deferred.
But your ideas of "normal" needs to be corrected
I'm surprised that your abnormalities have not been detected.

There is a difference between mad and sane.
I am just special...
God has given me a gift.
For that I deserve a medal.
I saved that rat.
And Mother would see.
She would be proud...
So very proud of my heroic deed.

I set him free!
Using flames!
That's what he wanted...
Now he is freed.
His spirit grateful.

I watched the flames dance in celebration.
My mother ran out in exclamation.
She looked at me in pure terror.
I admired my achievement.
Which had no error.

Mad or special is truly the question.
Maybe I am mad....
Though its merely a suggestion.
