The Corridor

I'd just finished my potions lesson when I saw her from a distance. I was talking with my friends and slowly tuned out of their conversation. She was distracting and soon enough I found myself following her as she walked through the castle, and down a corridor. One I had never come across before. I wasn't sure if I was allowed to walk down there, but I didn't care. I was trying to be quiet so that she wouldn't be able to hear me. I was following her for a little bit. Wondering where she was going. I don't know why I decided to follow her. She just captured my attention and I couldn't help myself.

She was quick. Like lightning. I didn't have time to react before my back hit the wall and she slammed her hand right next to my head. I jumped slightly. The shock of it all. One moment I was following her, the next she was right in front of me. My breathing was heavy, but I quickly took control of it.

"Why Malfoy, are you following me?" She hissed in my face, her hand on my throat, keeping me against the wall. I swallowed and my eyes were slightly wider than normal as her hand was around my throat, she was smaller than me, but she could be quite intimidating. Feisty. He'd be lying if he said he didn't like it.

"I.." I looked around a little at the corridor, trying not to meet her gaze, "I was lost and followed you, you seem to know where you're going." I'd hoped this was a passage to some sort of public room so it seemed more believable. That she knew where she was going, because I sure as hell didn't. I'd trick her into telling me where she was going.

At my answer, her hand pushed harder on my throat, it was becoming harder to take in more oxygen and my eyes had started to water ever so slightly, "Where are you going?"

I had to think quickly for the answer to her question. She had thwarted my plan. I wondered if she was a legillimens, "I was lost... Looking for the Great Hall." I was a fairly new student, it could be an acceptable excuse...

She leant right into my face, so close, "Sticking to that story, are we?" How did she know? She was good. I wasn't sure anymore, I nodded my head, "Is that it, Malfoy?" She purred at me. I swallowed again and nodded my head. I wasn't expecting this reaction from her. And then she pushed some hair away from my eyes. Her finger so close to my skin. I wasn't sure what was happening, she could be leading me into a sense of false security, I moved my head away from her touch. I needed to get away from her, to gather my thoughts.

"Well then." She replied. Her brow raised. She moved her hand from my throat and I swallowed, breathing in quietly the oxygen my body had been deprived of. She grabbed my chin and moved my head in the direction they had just walked, her cheek was flush up against mine and I enjoyed the feel of her smooth skin against mine. I wanted to nuzzle against it, but I couldn't let her know she had that effect on me, she whispered to me, "I suggest you head back that way and go down three flights of stairs to where the Great Hall actually is located."

My breathing was heavier than usual. Having her so close to me where I had only imagined having her. Imagined the feel of her skin, I couldn't bring my voice any louder than a whisper, "I'll do just that." I couldn't bring myself to move from her though, my feet were stuck to the ground, I was enjoying having her so close to me. I turned my head to look at her, her face so close to mine. I met her eyes. Those doe like eyes I had never been so close to before. I searched them, taking in there every detail, "...Well..." She breathed.

I came out of my thoughts and the corner of my mouth twitched into a smirk as I realised how she must be having the same reaction with me as well, I stared hard into her eyes, "I should be going now."

"So go." She whispered, her voice deep. I could see she was letting me go, I could see the amount of room I had to slip from in front of her and head back down the corridor, but I continued to stare at her, "I don't think I can." I managed to reply to her.

We stared into each other's eyes for a while. Then suddenly, it was as quick as she had grabbed me and pushed me against the wall, the small gap was closed as her lips came crashing down on mine. I tensed up slightly, I'd only ever imagined how her lips would feel, how ours would feel together. I abandoned all thought, I tuned into the kiss, the feel of her soft flesh against mine and I relaxed into it, surrendering to her ministrations. I kissed her back with the same ferocity she kissed me. I'd never expected to share a kiss like this with her, never expected to share a kiss at all. She was a crush of mine. I was mesmerised by her. But now, now it all had changed. This kiss showed me she was as into me as I was into her, or I was just a teenager reading into it too much. She was my high school crush, my first one. She pulled away, all too quickly, I pulled back and looked at her. My cheeks flushed. It felt as if the kiss was longer than a few seconds. She looked at me, smirked and walked back down the corridor. I stood there for a while. Leant against the wall as I breathed in deeply a few times before I walked back in the direction that I had come from.
