THE FIGHT

The day finally arrived when I could go home from the drafty hospital. As I got my boring math book out to do my math homework my phone went off. When I looked at who sent it, it was Isabella! How did she get my phone number? My thumping heart beated faster than it ever had before. When I read the text it felt like I didn't know how to breath.
Isabella: Hey are you busy later? I really need to talk to you....
Me: No. Okay
Isabella's swollen eyes and smeared mascara, her enveloped card, her crooked smile, Isabella draping her thin arms around me. These images flashed in my head but got interrupted by my loud ring tone.
Isabella: Thanks so much. Meet me at the abandoned park at 10.
During the time I had left before I had leave I finished my irritating math homework and through on a nice sweater that I really like and some blue jeans that fit me nicely. When it came close to 9:30 I snuck out my open window from this dull house.
I got there at 9:58 and seen Isabella sitting alone on the cracked park bench wearing a black jacket and dark blue jeans. When I seen her a giant idiotic grin spread crossed my face and a smile that seemed not hers crossed her face, but it had a touch of sadness in it that I didn't recognize. As I drew closer to her I could see her fake smile covering the pain she was feeling. I could see through the mask so clearly I could see her swollen eyes, smeared mascara, no longer rosy cheeks, and fake smile. When my grin dissappeared so did hers, she could see the anger spread across my face were joy used to be. She wiped at the big tear drizzling over her no longer perfect cheeks. I could see fear and sadness in her once joyful eyes.
"I'm sorry I didn't know who else to call!" The fear was so clear on her now joyless face that I wanted to scream and protect her from the pain.
"What happened? Are you okay," I said as I searched her eyes for even the slightest sign of happiness but only found fear, saddness, pain, and regret. I wanted my love for her to protect her from the pain and hurt of this dark and scary world. She took a deep breath and let it out shakily before answering my questions.
"I caught Jack cheating on me with Emily Johnstone, he started to scream at me and then hit me!" Before I knew what I was going to do I wrapped my aching arms around her tiny waist. A tear trickled down my red cheek as I pulled her closer to my burning body. Her sweet innocent face went on my broad shoulder and I whispered in her ear.
"I would never do that to some as perfect as you." I felt her tears wetting my black sweater. While we hugged there in the abandoned park I knew I would never forget her, she is the one who I want to share the rest of my life with. I never wanted to be with out her by my side. I wanted to protect her from danger. She would never know how much she ment to me but I would try my best to let her know even if it took the rest of my life.
"Want to stay at my house tonight? I can sleep on the couch and you can sleep on my bed." I move to the side to see her expression and when I did I saw a smile creep up on her now glowing face. She grabbed her back-pack and followed me to my house, but as we walked down the dark street I snuck peaks of her and her perfection. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Isabella looking at me, my heart beat started to get faster and faster.
The next day I dropped off Isabella at her house and went home. On that Monday when I went to school I made sure Isabella was safe and with her nice friends. Then Jack walked up to Isabella and he started to argue with her right away. I knew I would regret what I was about to do. I walked straight up to Jack and punched him in his jaw as hard as I could. The blow made him fall to the hard cement ground. When he got up he tried to get a swing in but I dodge it and hit him in the gut.
"This is over! You don't deserve to even see Isabella," I screamed at Jack. Isabella just looked shocked and happy but yet a pinch of sadness still stood. Jack grabbed his thrown bag and left school with a scowl on his mad face. A wide smile spread across my now happy face. I finally had a shot with Isabella.
