 Chapter 1

            Callie

Left, right, forwards, fake, right, and stop. I had out run my opponents, team mates, and the girl guarding me I had 10 seconds left on the clock. It was the soccer state championship; I could hear the cheering and screaming of my school as they counted down the seconds. It was all up to me if I scored this goal we would win. 5 seconds left I could hear the rumbling of the ground as the others approached gaining on me. At that moment everything went silent and all that was in front of me was the ball and the goalie. 3 seconds left on the clock I made a powerful kick sending the ball -what seemed like a 100 mph- into the top left corner of the goal as the buzzer rang. I had scored the winning point in our championship. I fell to my knees and screamed with joy, then I felt 12 bodies throw themselves on top of me, screaming then my coach ran over to me, she was glowing with excitement hugged me and said to me, "Callie I am so proud of you, I have never seen anyone play as amazing as you did" then she handed me the trophy. I held it up for the whole crowd to see and then I felt a blast of cold water from the water cooler and I turned around and saw my team mates, they all had the biggest smiles on their faces and my best friend Katarina holding the water cooler.   A photographer from the town’s newspaper came over to take team pictures along with happy parents. After pictures we packed up our equipment and headed out of the stadium. On my way out people from Gilbert Hall -our opposing team- approached me telling me what a wonderful game that I had played and I heard people in their cars yelling, “Hey 13 nice game" or "13 I better see you in the pros one day."  I couldn't help smiling it was the happiest day of my life.

When I got to the car I took my cleats off and slipped into my Adidas slides the foam on the bottom relaxed my cramped feet. I then realized how sweaty I was and that you could see my lucky neon green sports bra and that the cold water didn't help that situation so I crossed my arms over my chest waiting for Zack to unlock the car. While I was staring at my feet Zach came behind me and wrapped his tan long arms around my waist giving me a hug.

"That was amazing T-Swizzle!" Zach said grinning flashing his white-as-can-be-perfectly-straight teeth.

He knew I hate being called that. T-Swizzle was his nickname for me because I looked exactly like Taylor Swift her from her blonde curls to her long legs even our lucky numbers were the same -13- except I only stood 5'3 while she was  almost 6 feet. But I  didn’t mind the looks that much because I liked how family and family friends would come up to me saying, My Gosh Callie Spencer stop getting so pretty your making Taylor Swift jealous.

"Thanks Zachary" I replied with a snicker he also hated when people used his full name.

“Ah Back Seat Mia Hamm, Jake came with Me." right after Zach said that Jake opened the door and claimed in the jeep grand Cherokee’s front seat

“Hey good lookin' " Jake said with a wink, whenever I'm with him he flirts with me it’s just a thing we do to annoy Zach.

“Oh hey there cutie" I replied with a giggle.

“Do your legs hurt" Jake said all serious

“Of course they do she just played for like two hours" Zach said as he pulled out on to the highway.
