"Would you like some tea father?" I asked, grasping onto the handle of the steaming hot tea pot. "Oh, that would be wonderful Nancy," he replied. I poured the boiling hot water into his tea cup and saucer, and rested the tea pot back down onto the little table. I placed a tea bag in and waited for it to infuse, whilst taking a biscuit from the jar and place it on the edge of his saucer. "How are you, Father?" I asked, biting into my shortbread biscuit and taking a sip of tea, accidentally slurping. My father gave me a stare as if to say, "Pardon you!". "Oops, I am so sorry father. Excuse me," I pardoned myself and wiped my mouth with my hankerchief, don't be worried; it's clean. I poured in some milk from the jug and sifted some sugar into his tea, and stirred it in. He nodded his head in thanks, "Thank you Nancy. I am well, I have got some gardening to do after. Perhaps you, Johnathan and Millicent can go explore the house a bit? How does that sound?" He questioned. "Oh yes, as we were planning to." I said, slurping back the last of my tea. I took my cup and saucer over to the kitchen to wash up.
"John! Milly!" I called the next morning, it was Saturday and that meant that we had plenty of time to explore! I grabbed my hat and put on my coat. "Hang on! I've still got to eat my porridge!" Shouted John, he said, combing back his hair. Milly ran towards me, I lifted her up by her waist so she could reach her hat and coat. "Oh, do come on John! We're going to the garden today!" Milly said, as she was placed down back onto the floor. She put on her hat and tugged on her coat. John quickly gobbled up his breakfast and put his bowl into the sink. He put on his leather shoes, and his hat and ran outside. "So, are we going or what?" He asked, excitedly.
