I've never believed in Fairytales, or happy endings, they are simply false. Frivolous. Naive. Maybe in a Disney movie it ends up alright for the gorgeous princess, but that is dumbed down for four year old girls to believe. In the true fairytale, the endings were more... Realistic.Have you ever read the original Cinderella? I have. The stepsisters cut off their toes and heels to fit in the slippers only to have their eyes pecked out by birds seconds later.

Have you ever read the original "The Little Mermaid"? I have. Stop and think about it for a second. The poor naive little mermaid is transformed into a human, only to realize every second she spends on land is causing her agonizing pain. Her heart is then ripped into shreds as her prince falls in love with another woman, then she dies and melts to sea foam.

Ever heard the ending to Hercules? He was accidentally poisoned by his wife. As he lay there dying, she hung herself.

Let's not refer to the grim tale of Sleeping Beauty.

Ever heard of the story of Anna and Chris Wellington? You haven't. Those were my parents. My family was happy, everything was great. Christmas time was our favorite part of the year, that and Valentine's Day, which was always accompanied by the best chocolate and roses money could buy.

Seven years ago, Chris Wellington died in a car crash. Anna wasn't in the car, but she might as well had been. She was never herself again.
She saw him everywhere we went, whether it was at my school Christmas party, at the grocery store, at the mall. She held an invisible hand every day and she refused to believe she was gone. Even when I forced her to go to the funeral, she still believed he was alive.
She talked to him in the middle of the night. Our house was small, so I heard every word she said.
Then, he told her to do something.
He told her to run away.
She left me, and she never looked back.
It has been five years since I have seen my mother.

We never found the body, but I know she is dead. I know they are both gone.

That's all everyone knows me as. I don't have friends to talk to, nobody wants to be near me. They only know me as "The crazy woman's daughter" that's all I'll ever be to anyone.

I'm not a villain. I haven't done anything wrong. I don't get a happy ending.

But that's ok. Nobody ever does.

They think they do, but in the dead of night somebody runs a red light. Someone cheats. Someone lies. Someone kills. Someone dies.

Fairytale a don't exist.

I kill all fairytale endings.
