Gabby's P.O.V
I was walking through a dark tunnel.
Even though their weren’t any lights, I could hear a voice.
The voice brought me warmth and I clung closer to it.
I couldn’t quite recognize it, but I knew I had heard it before.
The voice was strained with tears and pain.
And I could sense desperation in the voice.
I clung to it with all of my power, trying to place the voice with a face.
But no memories came.
I just held onto it, letting it’s warmth wrap me up.
I didn’t wish for anything except the sound of that voice.
It held me lovingly while light came into the darkness, warming me up from the inside with a feeling I could recognize.
Love.
Light overwhelmed me and I opened my eyes, looking into a color so devastatingly blue with so much relief I wanted to cry.
I felt pressure on my chest and I lifted up a heavy hand to touch silken strands of hair.
I let my fingers run through the strands, stroking and comforting at the same time.
I could feel exhaustion overpowering me and the last thing I heard before I fell into a deep sleep was, “I love you, Gabby. I love you...”
