Amanda's P.O.V.
You know those cute disgustingly perfect families on T.V.? The ones that nothing ever goes wrong, no one fights, no one cries, all around it's just a great safe environment? With the sister helping her brother with homework and the parents smiling at each other as if they're so in love? The one thing everyone deep down wants?
Well, let me tell you first hand, those don't exist. Those are made up. Never real. Fake. How do I know this? Right now my parents are screaming. That's how they communicate. Never civil. Just hurtful words. Screaming is all I hear when I come home, when I invite friends over, but learned a while ago not to do that, or even like right now; when I wake up for school.
I guess it doesn't matter because I got up and get ready like I always do. Brushing my teeth and washing my face.
"Okay" I sighed pulled out a pair of red skinny jeans, a slipknot shirt, and some vans. "Why yes." I said out loud. "I think that's great for today, just like yesterday." I giggled to myself.
"Talking to yourself again, Amanda?" Josh, my older brother, laughed.
I turned around smiling "Still being a jerk, Josh?". He shook his head and went back in his room to get ready. After I got ready Josh drove me to school. Josh is my best friend currently. 1.) Because he protects me, helps me, and vise versa ( not to mention he's my brother). 2.) We raised each other. Lord knows how I would have tuned out if Mom and Dad raised me. And 3.) We've always just clicked.
We sat in silence as we drove to hell, shit sorry, prison, wait no. School. There we go. I didn't have learning. Just the bullshit of expectations, bullies, and all the work they stress us out with. Playing with my red hair, that was way too long, I looked at Josh with pleading eyes.
"No. Don't give me that look. You've already skipped so many days. I'm sorry sweetheart but you have to go. Look, we're both at our last year of high school." He sighed. "No. You just want to see Tyler." Josh shrugged and laughed. No denying it.
Tyler was Josh's official boyfriend. They've been dating for about two? Maybe three weeks now? I locked them in a closet until Josh gave in and made out with Tyler. It was cute. They were cute. I envied that so much. To have someone call me their own. But I'm not in a rush, I guess.
"Shut up Jerk."
"Bitch." I yelled as we got to school and separated ways to our classes.
Alright... Here we go.
