He got up, kissed my head, and walked into the bathroom to take his shower. As soon as he closed the door, I got dressed and zipped up my suitcase. I sat on his bed, brushing my long hair and waiting for him to come out. The mirror on his door reflected a pale girl whose skin was still red from hot water, who has dark hair that looks stringy when wet.

"Babe do you know where my razor is?" Tyler yelled out from his shower.

"Top drawer," I replied, picking up his laptop.

I opened his music library, putting on the new music that his band would be releasing soon. The music flowed smoothly, not completely finished but well enough for me. I went over to his dresser, checking out all the pictures that were on top. Pictures of him and his family were spread around, each in a frame. Everyone was so happy.

"You ready?" Tyler asked, scaring me.

"Yeah," I replied, looking at him.

He was wrapped in a towel, nowhere close to being dressed. His hair was dripping and he held a pair of sweats in his arms along with some boxers and a Taco Bae shirt. He motioned for me to turn around, which I did and waited.

"C'mon Kay," He said to me, picking up his and my bags. I followed behind him, walking down the stairs and into the foyer.

"Bye Kay, Merry Christmas. Tyler, drive save," His mom said to us, hugging both of us tightly.

We went out to the car after saying all our goodbyes. Tyler threw our stuff into the trunk and I got into the front, turning on the car from the passenger side and plugging my phone into his AUX cord, turning on Imagine Dragons. He got into the driver's side, turning the music up and pulling out of the slush covered driveway.

"All my life I've been living in the fast lane," Tyler started singing along, making me smile.

"Can't slow down I'm a rolling freight train," I replied, laughing softly.

He stifled a laugh, "Would you like to drive through the night and be there for breakfast? It's only a 4-5 hour drive."

"Sure, as long as you don't crash or anything," I told him, looking at my phone.

"I can't hurt my queen and little prince or princess," he told me, holding my hand.

"Hey Ty, smile," I told him, holding up my phone.

He smiled but kept his eyes on the road as I took the picture. I uploaded it to twitter and Instagram, tagging the fool. I surprisingly couldn't wait to be home. It may have something to do with seeing my best friend, Dan, the day after Christmas but who knows.

"Kay," Tyler whined.

"What?" I whined back, turning the music down a little.

"I'm hungry," he told me, frowning.

"We've been on the road for almost an hour and just ate a Christmas Dinner. Are you really hungry?" I questioned, a little annoyed.

"Yesss," He told me, knowing I always kept food in my purse.

"Cheez-its?" I asked him, opening my bag.

He nodded and took them from me as soon as I pulled them out of my bag. I rolled my eyes, taking one from the bag. He started shoving them in my mouth as he drove, watching the road and looking out for anything that could be in the road. I laid my head on the window, closing my eyes, about ready to fall asleep. The music drowned out the sound of the engine and the car on the road.

"Babe," Tyler said again, bored.

"Yes?" I replied.

"I'm bored," He told me.

"Nice to meet you bored. I'm Kay, but I'm also feeling tired. I'm going to go to sleep, is that okay bored?" I said to him with some sass and sarcasm.

He sighed and I closed my eyes again. I slowly started to drift off as the car drove down the highway, not slowly down or speeding up. Everything was smooth and the music turned calming, which I knew wouldn't last long with Tyler's patience. I slowly drifted off to sleep.

"Kay!" I heard Tyler yell along with a long car horn.
