Life is like a strawberry. It seems to be sweet, but if you actually bite into one, it is actually quite sour but it is still sweet. In the beginning you are a very sour green strawberry and life is hard. As you grow old, seasons pass, and as the years wear on you and your years left dwindle, you become sweeter and riper until you are quite old and you turn browner and browner into a pile of dirt.
Now, on my deathbed, I find it quite hard to believe that this was my life, free, untouched by the fantasy of story-writers and dreamers. Still, I must write this story, push it out of my heart, out of my soul so that the world may no the truth about the monster behind the bead, the shadows of the dark.
The world must know the innocent children, the homeless mother, and the monster that reigns below. Then one day, perhaps, a new bud will appear from the pile of dirt from our little strawberry. Maybe one day, the monster will be vanquished and the stars will shine upon children who no longer fear the monsters of the deep.
