I'll always remember my days with the Doctor, however brief they were. He came to our world in a bright flash of white light and a whooshing sound, his spaceship materializing in a park close to town and the woods.
I remember, with great detail, the way he stepped out of that big blue box looking like his best friend had just died. He turned and looked me dead in the eye, his sticky-uppy hair blowing in the wind. There was only one person that could have been...
"Doctor?" I say. "Doctor?"
"You know who I am?" he asks.
"You are the Doctor?" I ask.
"Yes," he says. "How do you know that?"
"I - you're real!"
"Yes, I am real."
"Doctor... the Doctor... Did you just dimension hop?"
"WHAT?" he becomes visibly puzzeled. "I just closed off the void - for the second time - impossible! How did you come to this...?"
"Well, there a big flash of light when you came - a bigger light than the TARDIS could make."
He nods. "Yeah, that makes sense... kind of."
"... Why do you think the TARDIS brought you here?"
"I don't know yet... I guess I have to find out."
I nod.
"What is your name?" he asks.
"Faye," I reply. "Faye Brookes."
"Nice to meet you, Faye. Allons-y!"
We start running. We keep running until we reach the edge of the forest, which neither of us wants to go into in our current state, se we run back to town and buy a bucket of chicken before running back to the woods and throwing one in.
Nothing happened to it.
"Good," the Doctor says. "No Vashta Nerada."
I nod and we continue gingerly into the woods. My midnight black hair ripples in the cold wind blowing in my face. The trees press together closly... I become very scared, but I relax a bit when I look to my left and see that Doctor striding beside me.
Companionless.
He looks kind of damp, so I think he just had to leave Donna.
I'm re-writing his future.
I shiver at the thought of him never meeting Amy.
Or Rory.
Or Clara.
Something's definitely wrong here... and I'm going to find out what.
