From Demos to diapers

Chapter 2

Luke's pov

Today Jason and I are staying home to watch the Volunteers play the Florida gators.

It was half time and the vols were up by eleven and I went to get a beer when I heard someone at the door I went to the door and there stood my ex girlfriend Lisa with a carseat carrier.

"Lisa what are you doing here" I asked

"I'm dropping off your daughter her names Sierra
and, yes I'm pretty positive she's yours she's eight weeks old and I had a DNA test done twice, so here you go" she said handing the carseat and the diaper bag I sat them inside and ran to her car

"I don't even know to change a diaper" I said but she was already gone I sighed and went inside I don't know anything about being a father.

"dude who's kid" Jason asked

"mine her names Sierra" I said

"she looks just like you" he said I looked at the sleeping baby and smiled. We decided to record the game and we went shopping for nursery furniture.

When we got back she was still sleeping so we did the nursery and as soon as we were done she woke up I went to the living room and unbuckled her from the carseat and picked her up

"shh its okay please stop crying" I said Jason found her paci and I tried giving it to her but she didn't want it, I sighed and rocked her.

"Luke i think someone might have a dirty diaper" Jason said

"here you check you know more about kids then I do" I said he backed away

"oh no that's your problem" he said I took a deep breath  and laid her down and checked her diaper almost gagging, so Jason helped me get her changed and then I made her a bottle while he keep her calm.

After she was fed she went back to sleep I sighed a sigh of relief and put her in the crib

"dude you know your gonna need some supplies to take car of her" Jason said

"yea I'm gonna make a list and then head to the store you mind watching her" I asked

"no I don't mind go ahead" he said I thanked him and started making a list of things I need for her.

When I got back Jason was sitting on the couch with Sierra asleep against his chest it was adorable, I picked her up and carried her to the nursery and laid her in the crib.

Jason and I spent the day assembling the swing, playpen, changing table, putting the carseat base in my truck and then put the bassinet with the changing station attached, in my room and then Jason went to get supper.

I was eating when Sierra woke up I made her a bottle and went upstairs and picked her up and sat in the rocking chair and gave her the bottle

"shh your okay, I may not know everything about being a dad but I'll be the best daddy in the world, I promise" I said kissing her head. I have responsibilities now I have a daughter and she depends on me for everything now.
