We were standing side by side at the garden; I turned my head and looked affectionately at her. She was gazing up at the sky, probably counting stars, whilst I was fascinated by her captivating beauty. Feeling my passionate gaze upon her, she inhaled the sweet, smell of fresh air surrounding us before turning to her side and melting me with her stare. Her lips curling to an catching smile, which I gladly returned with just the same amount of love and care she had for me. I couldn't have wished for anything more at that moment. She was everything that I needed and wanted. Nothing else matters.
I slowly leant in giving her a slow and tender kiss, which gradually grew more and more passionate as her hands glided softly to my sides. This was heaven for me. One touch, one kiss from her and I’ll be soaring up high. She gives me the warmth that I have craved for since I started to look for a deeper relationship from my past lovers, and right now she was the one who taught me what love really was.
I’ve dreamed of having someone as special as her when I was just a kid, with the fairy tale ending but as I grew older and older, for me, it seemed as if that that special someone wasn't going to come; Until she came along in my life.
I wasn't in any doubt that she was holding the other half of my soul and my heart.
How did I know?
Well, that's the magic of love. No one can understand the real secret behind it until you actually felt it. The moments that i shared with her were one of the happiest I’ve ever been in my entire life. She gives me everything I needed; physically and mentally.
Tonight is a special night for the both of us, well me actually. I am just about to kneel in front of the person who I considered, my everything. The centre of my world; just about to ask her to be mine forever. And there was nothing I would love to hear more than a sweet 'yes' coming from her lips.
I pulled away from our kiss and sat up, feeling the slight breeze hit my flushed face. Slowly standing up, I lend my hand to her and pulled her up as well.
She must've seen the worry in my eyes, as we both stood looking at each other's sparkling eyes, and asking if I was okay. I simply nodded before reaching behind my pocket and kneeling on one knee.
I heard a low gasp coming from her as the realization of my actions finally hitting her. I giggled at how adorable her face lit up as i started my little speech and asked the question.
"The first time I met you Fany-ah, I had no doubt in my mind that i wanted to spend the rest of my life with you, either as a lover or just a friend. Through the years, you gave me the strength and belief that I can overcome anything as long as I have you by my side. You became my best friend, my rock, my everything. You mean so much to me. You know, at first I didn't believe in true love. I remember those innocent conversations we have every night talking about love, heartaches and much more. I never knew true love really existed even though it was already staring at me in the face."
By this time, her eyes were covered with unshed tears, and her lips still curled in that beaming smile of hers. I slowly opened the box and looked up at Tiffany again, watching her reaction every second.
"Hwang Mi Young, I love you and I couldn't think of anyone else I would like to spend the rest of my life with. Will you marry me?"
Her face lighting up in pure happiness as she spoke the answer I was anxiously waiting for.
"Yes. Of course I will marry you" she grinned sweetly as I held her left hand and slid the ring onto her finger before kissing it lovingly. Pulling me up, I intertwined our hands together before stepping closer to her and capturing her lips.
We lay back down on our small - but comfortable - blanket and held onto each other tightly; her left hand still intertwined with my right hand. "I love you so much" she said firmly, her cute little dimple showing as she smiled at me once more. "I love you more than words can describe"
"Look!" I saw her pointing at the sky, and my heart flutter at the sight before me; a heart shape formed by the glistening stars above us.
