The sound of the ending bell had made everyone sigh in relief. Korosensei had decided to give a twenty minute lecture about tentacles and how much better they were than human arms, which had been the last thing anyone in that class had wanted to hear.

The class had almost been dozing off when the bell rang. Korosensei stopped mid-word into the word "tentacles". With a mocking giggle, Korosensei clapped his yellow tentacles together to get the moving class's attention. "Okay. The homework for tonight is to write a small essay about how tentacles are sufficient for every day lifestyles."

A collection of groans echoed through the rooms in disbelief. Korosensei all looked at them, his squishy head beginning to become a little red from his students' negativity. Only one student seemed to have been passive about the homework, which was [Last] [First]. Like most classes, there was a student who didn't seem to mind about his/her homework, no matter how complicated or easy it had been.

[Last] [First] had so happened to be one of them. It didn't make her studious though. The reason why she ended up in class 3-E was because of that very reason. Her grades dropped because she hadn't thought of the answers as she wrote them down blindly. She didn't seem to mind about being moved down either.

As class ended, [First] gathered her school supplies in her bag, putting the sling over her shoulder. As she made her way out the door and slipped on different shoes, she can hear hurried whispers. The creaky floorboards caused her to look up and see one of the nicer students, Shiota Nagisa, standing in front of her.

"Ah, Nagisa-kun." [First] said as she watched him switch into his other shoes. "Do you need anything?"

"I-I heard you were real-really good in literature and I was wo-won-wondering if you could help me." He stuttered as he shifted his gaze from her. She didn't seem to notice his flustered state as she shifted the weight of her bag to her other shoulder. The whole class had been watching by then, when they spotted Nagisa and [First] speaking to one another.

It was more than obvious that Nagisa had taken a liking to her, but [First] had been too oblivious to even take a hint. She only had suspected him as shy when they began talking to each other.

"Okay. Let's go to my family's resturant down the curb. I usually do my homework there." She said as she slipped her blazer off and rolled her sleeves up. Nagisa nodded hurriedly as he followed her out the door, glancing to see the whole class give him a thumbs up, cheeky grins directed right at him.

Nagisa turned again and quickened his pace. "Let's get there quickly. It looks like it might rain." He said.

[First] stared right at the sky. "O...kay, I guess." She replied as they quickly walked down the hill faster. From the corner of her eye, she could see Kayano Kaede grinning boldly at her, making her confused.

I wonder what's gotten into them...

{~*~}

The walk to the resturant hadn't been long. [First] used a shortcut to get to the convenience store faster and avoid the A-D students. For once, Nagisa had felt a little more peaceful as they walked together in the comfortable silence. He didn't need to worry about annoying higher graded students that bothered him by the minute after school.

"How did you find the shortcut anyways?" He asked asked he pushed away a branch. [First] glanced at him from the corner of her eye as she pushed the door open. A man who was near his early twenties waved at her, which she returned.

"My brother was in class 3-E a few years back. He showed me the shortcut so I can give him his lunch without me getting into any trouble with the teachers. His teacher was really nice. I wonder what happened to her..." She drifted off as she switched subjects. "You can set your stuff down over there." She pointed to one of the many tables that were seperated by a booth.
