"So, Mr. Winchester, how long have you been in the business?" Castiel heard the high pitched voice of Diana Read come over the headset he was wearing.
"Please, Miss Read, I've told you to call me Dean," he flirted. "I've been in this for as long as I could remember, my dad handed down the stock investments once he had passed away." Castiel couldn't even remember why they were doing this, dirty money coming in from the business or something like that.
"Dean, calm down on the flirting and try to actually get some information. You're working, not trying to get a new lay," Castiel spoke into his microphone, knowing that Dean would be able to hear him through the earpiece.
"Excuse me for a moment," Dean said. Diana nodded before Dean walked off to the bathroom. As Dean shut the door behind him, he quickly started talking. "What the hell, Cas?! We were that close to getting the information."
"Oh, I'm sorry, Winchester. I don't know what the hell you were seeing, because I know that I saw and hear you trying to get freaking laid!" Castiel responded, already fuming. "And my name is Castiel, not Cas." Of all people, they had to pair him with Dean fucking Winchester, the one person in this building that he couldn't stand.
"Obviously you don't get it, Cas," Dean growled, putting emphasis on the nickname. "This is the reason why I'm the field agent and you're the tech nerd."
"You did not just fucking pull that card on me, Winchester. I'm a tech because I chose it, dipshit," Castiel replied, trying not to yell his frustration for the entire building to hear.
"Yeah, whatever, I'm going offline now," Dean said, as he pulled out his earpiece and put it in his pocket. He turned off the small cameras that had been placed on him before the mission, leaving Castiel with a black screen.
"You have got to be kidding me, Winchester," Castiel groaned as he slammed his fist against his desk.
"Dean go offline again?" The redhead next to him, Charlie, asked knowingly. "Hey, Garth, watch it. Dude behind you looks like he's got a gun under his coat," Charlie warned her field agent.
"I don't know why he insists on making my job that much harder," Castiel fumed.
"I got lucky, Garth is pretty easy to work with," she remarked. Castiel could hear Garth's faint reply from her headset, to which she just laughed and said, "No problem."
"I don't know how I've been working with him for this long," Castiel told her.
"It's been what, two years now? And he still doesn't have any ounce of respect for you?" Charlie asked, turning her chair slightly so she could watch the screen and talk to Castiel.
"Yeah, two years and he swears that he knows more than his tech," he replied.
"Have you asked for a transfer? With the new agents finishing training, I'd think they'd be able to use you with someone else," Charlie said.
"I've tried multiple times, but Bobby insists that the best place for me is working with Dean," Castiel groaned, placing his head on his desk.
"Hey, Cas, I've got the information," Dean's voice came over his headset.
"Good, get out of there so we can tell Bobby and them," Castiel told him.
"No can do, they're going into action tonight, I've got just enough time to get to the airport to stop them."
"Dean, don't be an idiot!" Cas said, slightly raising his voice.
"I'm gonna go offline until I finish this, I'll tell you what happens," Dean replied before switching off his earpiece again.
