Mr. Cowboy

chapter four

i woke up late that night, to the sound of my mom coming in. but the strange thing was i didn't just hear my mom's voice but a deep manly voice too.  curious of who this stranger was i got up out of bed and went down stairs, very quietly listening to their conversation.

" hahhaaa i havn't had this much fun in forever ryan." my mom sounded differen't she sounded really happy a little too happy for my likeing.

" well i do know how to show a lady a good time" the voice said.

right at that moment i took the last step and walked into the kitchen.

" oh hi dear, i didn't think you were still up hahaa" she seemed surprised at my sudden appearance.

" uhhmm , you woke me up coming in."

" oh well this is my friend ryan, ryan meet esme, esme meet ryan" she gestured towards a tall masculin man with brown combed over hair and was wearing a suit.

" are you guys uhh dating?" i felt pricks coming up into my eye's and horrible feeling in the pit of my gut.

" well yes, at the early stages of it." as my mother said this she smiled at ryan and he smiled back.

" i hope to get to know you better esme, and you can meet my daughter shelby." what did he think? did he think he was just going to stroll on in here thinking that he could be my new dad and that his daughter would replace my brother. no , no way was this random guy going to even try doing it.

" so wait hold up a minute. you think that you can just stroll on in here at 1:30 am and think that you can be my new daddy? hell no. and i dont want to meet your daughter either so screw you goodnight." i was furious. why was mom doing this to me? she knew that i didn't want her to date anyone ! i only want my brother! one to watch out for me when i get my heart broken, i want my daddy to stay up worrying to death when i go one dates. i want my daddy to walk me down the isle on my wedding day. i dont want ryan or any other guy.

as i soon as i got into my room i turned around and locked the door. threw myself on my bed and cried i cried until i had no tears left , until my nose was completely blocked and my ears were popped. by then it was 3:52 am. i knew i wouldnt get any sleep. i got up and took a long hot shower washing away the funkyness of my crying.

i got out and put on some baggy pajama shorts and my dad's old t-shirt. right then i had the strangest yearning. i wanted Gade, after his hug this afternoon i wanted him to hold me. then all of a sudden i remembered him giving me his number. but should i call him at 4:00 am in the morning? before i could change my mind i called him.

" heelllloo?" he answered in a husky voice.

" uhm, Gade its esme, esme walters." ughh i sounded so nervous.

" oh hey, why are you calling so early?" he seemed to perk up knowing it was me. this gave me butterflies.

" i know this is wierd but i really want you to come over, like now"

" uhhh sure, are you okay ?"

" yeah im fie just hurry over."

" alright ille be there in a minute"

i hung up and brushed my teeth and put body spray on. luckily my mom left before he came over. im guessing she was really mad at me.

i heard the door knock around ten minutes after hanging up. i opened the door to see Gade still in his pajamas and look sexy as usual. before he said a word i jumped on him giving him a huge hug. and soon after that i felt his big strong arms wrap around me. after a few minutes of just staying life that he slowy pulled me away.

" are you okay?"

" well tonight my mom brought home her new boyfriend. and he came in thinking that he could be my new dad and then, he had the nerve to tell me that he wants me to meet his daughter. so i said something really mean and ran upstairs and cried for hours."

" im really sorry and everything and im here for you in any situation but why do you want me here?"

" because after crying and taking a shower the only thing i wanted was you to be here with me and hold me. yes i know it sounds really, really random and stupid and i know im going to regret it but i just want you right now." i could feel and see my cheeks getting red.  but instead of him walking away and never talking to me again, wich was the reaction i was expecting, instead he looked me in the eyes, pulled me closer to him and kissed me. holding me close to him our lips moved togethere in sync, every hair on my body stood up. i threw my arms around his neck and and let my fingers run through his hair. every one in a we would part for a breath and then carry on. as we kissed for what seemed the longest time he held me ever so close to him. i felt like there was nothing bad going on in my life in this moment i forgot that my dad and brother were dead, i forgot that there was a ryan. right there in his arms our lips locked togethere.

minutes when by until we finally pulled away and i looked deep into his golden eyes.

" wow!" he said with a grin on his face

" i have to admit that was amazing"

" esme walters i havn't even known you a week and you have me wrapped around your little finger with one kiss."

" haha shut up Mr. Cowboy."

'" aha i like my new name ille have to use that one." he half smiled then and my knees felt week. before i could fall he caught me, picking me up, cradling me like a baby.

" so where's your lounge?" he asked looking down into my eyes.

" straight ahead through that door." right then he walked in to the lounge layed me down then walked over and got a blanket and picked up the remote. he then layed himself behind me and held me in his arms.

" what shall we watch ? "

" hmmm... animal planet." he turned on the tv and put on animal planet wich was currently showing " animal cops"  laying there in his arms i suddenly felt the drowsyness of not sleeping. my eye's began to feel heavy. then to help my situation gade began slowly running his hands through my hair. And before i knew it i fell asleep in his arms. in utter complete peace.
