Chapter 2
|| Connor's POV ||
I was in class. Just sitting there and smiling like a lunatic. But I can't help it. What happened a few hours ago was one of the best moments of my life.
I finally confessed to her SOME of my feelings for her. That I want her to be my friend. Yes, a friend. I'm still trying to figure out these feelings. I can't just fall for a girl that I just met just a few hours ago. That's kind of a corny shit.
My train of thoughts was interrupted by the bell ringing. "You can all go now." The teacher in front said. I was walking to my locker when....
"Hey Connor." a high-pitched girl said. I knew she was Laura. I know sooner or later when she finds out that me and Chloe are friend. Laura would hate her for sure.
"Hey there." I said winking at her.
I heard her giggle and saw her bit her lip. I also saw her twirling the ends of her hair. She's sort of ... flirting? "So you wanna hang out later?"
"Anything for you." I said. She then gave me a kiss on the cheek and went off.
In a split second, I instantly regret what I said. I don't want to be with anyone right now. I want to be with Chloe and get to know her well.
I walk in front of a classroom that Chloe was in. I didn't really bother looking at what class it was. I just want to go with Chloe.
Inside the room I saw a girl with long brown hair. I instantly knew it was Chloe. She seemed to write something. She and the professor where the only one there.
Minuets later, I saw Chloe giving the paper she had wrote in. Then she quickly got her things and went out.
"What took you so long?" I asked her.
"The professor told me to write something." she said then sigh.
She seemed to be in a bad mood. So I quickly changed the topic. "Well, let's head out for lunch. Shall we?"
"I'd love to." she said then gave me a smile.
-------------------------
We sat in the middle of the canteen. My mates where also there with their girl. And I was there, With a friend. Just a friend.
Chloe seemed to be getting along with the others. I felt happy for her.
After lunch, the 6 of us went outside. We went to this old tree. It was wonderful. "She's quite amazing. Are you dating her?" Sarah asked. Sarah is in a relationship with Tom, one of my best mates.
"What? No. We're just friends." I said. I can feel my cheeks started to heat up.
She chuckled at me. "Is that so? Don't tell me you'll stick with that Laura girl." said Lisa. She's in a relationship with Drake, My other best mate.
I just kept quiet for a second. Don't get me wrong, Laura is pretty. But I just don't feel anything for her. I just started to date her. I don't know why. "I don't know." I whispered. But it was enough for the both of them to hear it.
"Okay. But if I where you, I would've dated Chloe." Lisa said then went back to Drake.
I stood there for a moment. Trying to take in what Lisa said. I can't just date a girl I just met. Well, yeah.. I might have dated some girls I just met. But she's different. She's that type of girl to be respected.
I noticed Chloe was quiet. She haven't spoken much since lunch. Was there something I did? I went over to Chloe who was standing behind me. Thankfully, she didn't hear any of what Lisa and Sarah said. "Hey." I cheerfully said.
