A/n: this chapter and probably the rest of the book will be in first person
I got home and saw my dad's black car parked it the drive way.
"Ughhh" I thought in annoyance. My dad always hated me. He has, on several occasions, told me I am worthless, annoying, stupid, and other countless things. The sad thing is that I believe him.
I went inside and quietly closed the door and attempted to get upstairs and in to my room silently, but he was in the living room and saw me instantly and it was pointless, but I traveled swiftly towards the stairs.
"Clean up your room" he said in his annoying voice.
My room isn't even fucking messy! He just wanted to find something to say to piss me off. I started on what little homework I had, and finished shortly afterwards and exhaustedly lied in bed and drifted off to sleep.
I woke at 10 pm. Wow. I had slept for 4 and a half hours. Oh, fucking great. Won't be able to get back to sleep probably.
And yeah, I was right. 5AM now. Wide awake. Listening to "Fake You Out" and staring at my ceiling.
Tyler Joseph, lead singer of Twenty One Pilots, believed that night was the worst time of day, and wasn't all about parties and fun. Ty thought night was a time of sorrow and sadness, because an individual is alone and has too much time to think. Which leads to something they should never do.
I believed the same thing.
Tyler was right. I found myself thinking too much and silently crying. I was all alone in this world. I had no purpose. I was worthless. I fell asleep.
I woke up an hour early but could not go back to sleep, yet I only got 1 hour of sleep. I got ready. I watched tv for half an hour. I then made my way to the bus stop right on time and got on the bus. When I got to school I walked quickly inside and towards my first class. I turned a corner quickly and ran into someone on accident.
"Oh my god! I'm so sorry!" My cheeks were burning.
"It's okay," the guy said, smiling. "It was my fault. Hey, you should sit with me at lunch."
"Yeah, sure."
"I"ll see you then," he said still smiling.
He was really cute. He was tall too. I was looking forward to those classes.
It was lunchtime and I went to the cafeteria with my food and scanned the room for that guy I bumped into. He was sitting at a table with one other guy. We made eye contact and he waved my over.
"Fuck. Fuck. Okay I got this. Fuck no I don't," I thought. I sat down beside him.
"We met in.. a weird way. I'm Rose."
"Hehe.. I'm Max."
"I've always liked that name," I said
"Thanks.." There was an awkward silence. "Can I have your phone number?," he asked.
I was surprised. "Huh?? Oh.. okay." I have him my number, then lunch was over.
It was 4 hours later and I was now texting Max. We talked about stupid things and stuff. He was my new best friend, my only friend. We talked until midnight.
I think... I think I loved him.
