Hodan knocked lightly on her parents' master bedroom and entered. She set the tea tray at the night stand and sat at the right end of the bed. She gave her father the daily foot massage session while he rested on the head board listening to the news on the radio. She had alot to say to her father after finding out that earlier on the day a family had come to ask for her hand in marriage while she was away on her medical school. She was not ready for marriage since she first wanted to finish her medical studies and secondly she only wanted to tie the knot with her 'Prince Charming'. Her father turned off the radio, Hodan stopped massaging her father's feet and served him tea. Before she could voice her opinion, her father spoke to her and he stated that; she was allowed to finish her medical studies, her future husband would court her and when she was done with her studies the marriage would be finalised. She feigned happiness by hugging her father, he blessed her and she left for her room. On that night she stayed up all night figuring out how to come up with the courage to win the heart of not only her crush but also to stand up against this arranged marriage her parents agreed to; She had only 9 months left.
