Demi's POV:
It was killing me as well to watch Rose dying a little more day by day. That flawlessly beautiful girl was fading away.
Rose and I had been dating for over two years at this moment. But we had to play the "best friends" game. It wasn't something we couldn't handle at all, in fact, together we could handle everything and anything. Almost. Yes, it was tiring to hide the truth from the world but at the same time it was worth it. Every evening when we were getting home, to our home, we were just loving each other even more. Lots of cuddles and kisses. Being held in her strong arms made me feel safer than anyone has ever been capable of. Every now and then I'd ask how she is dealing with that hiding thing, if she's fine and happy still, just to make sure. Her answer would always be a simple "yes". But that was totally enough because in her bright green with a hint of yellow colored eyes, I could see she meant it. When Rose wasn't feeling all too good, her eyes lost that sparkle they always wore so perfectly. That glistening shimmer I fell for so hard. It was gone for as long as she wasn't fine.

But after awhile she got sick of it. Very sick. I was forced to tell her there's no chance of us going public. Not because we weren't dating long enough for us to seem to be serious about our relationship. Because we were, definitely. But my manger said it would be a very bad time to reveal us to the world. Of course Rose and I couldn't really understand, but other than Rose...I could accept. I needed to come up with a temporary solution, and so I did. Together with my management, my agent and publicist, I was trying to think of something we hoped would make everything at least a bit easier. Then I had the idea.

A publicity stunt.

Many evenings we were sitting around the big round table, debating what exactly we should do and who shall be involved. I knew it wasn't going to be any good for my relationship with my fans, but my personal life, my family, friends and my partner have always been more more important to me. Call me rude, I couldn't care less. (A/N: BADASS DEMETRIA WOO)

Wilmer. Wilmer and I were always named as the "secret couple". We never dated though. So me being the amazing mammal I am, the one I thought I was, came up with the great idea that me and Wilmer could fake a relationship. Not too public for the beginning though. They all agreed to it right away, firstly because people would believe it immediately since the tabs had already had everyone's brain washed so we wouldn't have to do that, thanks to you headlines, and secondly, Rose and I could be closer to each other in public without anyone getting suspicious. My girlfriend didn't know about it before we had all already agreed to it. At the end of the day she was fine with the idea, so it's definitely forgivable.

But...

Little did we, I, know it was by far the worst idea I had ever had, the stupidest thought that had ever crossed my mind, and the wrongest thing I had ever agreed to, even if it came from my self. I played along, I was a big part of it. It was my fault, too. If not, only mine even...
