Alice's pov:
I couldn't apparate so I flooed to his house. Merlin, I hadn't even stopped to think about where I would go if he wasn't in. I knocked on the door, quietly though, as he always knows when someone is approaching. Slowly the door edged open and a slightly bedraggled looking man peered out. I knew, however that his current physicalities were a glamour and sure enough the man's features softened, grew older, yet sharper.

Dumbledore's pov:
I took in her appearance. Her wavy shoulder length hair was up in an untidy and quick bun, her eyes were brown, with a black rim, however lacking the usual twinkle. Her jaw was set and her lips didn't form a smile like they usually did. She had a cut on her right cheek and a bruised left eye. The scar on the left hand side of her jawline, a permanent reminder of her family and its... hobbies. I immediately felt sorry for her, after all, she could have stayed at Hogwarts if I had allowed it, and I should of known Severus- her father, was getting worse.
'Hello Alice, I am sure Aberforth will be willing to give you a room, if you wish it?' I knew what Alice wanted, there was no point asking her to stay, she never did. 'Thanks grandpa!' I smiled, I wasn't her real grandfather but she had always seen me as one and it made me happy when she said it aloud, as if declaring to the whole world that it was the truth. 'I know violence isn't permitted at Hogwarts, but do you think there could be an exception for me, if I get angry in the... current situation with Dad then I really would like nothing more than to punch the smirk off of his face.'
'Violence, does, and will not solve anything, however as you have endured much of it, you may do what you like to him as it is a family matter.' Nothing too bad would happen, maybe a slap, well at least I hoped. 'I will see you at school soon Alice, remember to socialise at the pub, Aberforth and his stories are not to have you fooled, okay?'
'Okay, grandpa, see you at school' and with that she was gone.
