Laura moves her head to the side and is met with a mouth full of hair. She squints her eye open and smiles at the sight of Carmilla sprawled across her. Her smile grows when she remembers the night before.

Kissing on the swing. Kissing on the sidewalk. Kissing on the bench. Kissing under a tree. Kissing on the porch. Kissing against the door.Kissing on her bed.

Kissing on this bed.

(Kissing. Kissing. Kissing.)

Her heart picks up immediately at the thought of morekissing. She smiles to herself and then is hit with a terrible thought: this has happened before. Waking up, thoughts of kissing - kissing Carmilla. Oh God. What if that was another dream? It doesn't feel like a dream, but now she's not sure. She glances down at the peaceful look on Carmilla's face and brushes her bangs to the side.

If this wasn't a dream, can they still lay like this? Are things different now? Is kissing going to be something that happens all the time?

(The last question is the most pertinent.)

She needs to sort out her thoughts. And she can't do that with Carmilla clinging to her like her life depends on it.

She tries to slowly shift out from Carmilla when she feels a tight grip around her waist.

"My eyes might be closed, but my body knows it's before 9AM. Are you trying to wake me on purpose or is there a reason you're so restless this morning?"

Laura stills, "Um," Carmilla looks up at her - blinking slowly, hair wild and out of place - and Laura feels a tug in her chest, "Sorry about that."

Carmilla scoots up so that they're laying side by side. She grabs Laura's hand between them and laces their fingers, "Good morning."

The smile that blooms on her face is enough to get Laura smiling, too, "Morning." She plays with their fingers, "You never say good morning on a weekend."

"I guess I just have a few things to be happy about."

The way Carmilla is staring at her makes her feel hot all over. She takes in a breath as Carmilla shifts closer. This is definitely kissing distance, but she needs to make sure.

"Um, so, was it Halloween yesterday?"

Carmilla rolls her eyes, reaching up to trace a line up Laura's arm, nodding.

"Did we stop by Kirsch's party?"

She shivers as Carmilla's fingers dance along her collarbone, "Mhm."

Laura gulps, "And - the park. We went to a park?"

Carmilla glances up at her, licking her lips and nodding as she shifts closer, "Yes."

"So," Laura closes her eyes and blows out a breath as Carmilla's hand drags up her neck to cup her jaw, "So we-"

"Yes."

Her heart hammers against her chest, "Oh."

Carmilla's hand tenses against Laura's jaw, her eyes flitting across Laura's face, "Are you regretting it?"

Laura shakes her head so fast she almost knocks Carmilla's hand off, "No. Not at all."

"Good," Carmilla breathes out before leaning forward and pressing the softest kiss to Laura's lips. "Because I don't," Carmilla gives her another slow, lingering kiss, "Not at all."

(Okay, so - not a dream. Awesome.)

Carmilla pulls back to push some hair behind Laura's ear but Laura can't wait. She presses forward and captures Carmilla's lips, sighing into her mouth as she feels a soft grip against the back of her head. There's something different about this morning. Everything is slower - more intimate. Carmilla cradles her face like she's the most delicate thing in the world.
