"Good Bye, guys!!" I exclaimed, hugging my friends enthusiastically.
"Bye bye!" Mille whispered, smiling. She's always been very quite unlike Hattie screeches everything at the top if her voice and never shuts up. I walked inside our old, dusty house while waving to my friends. Mum and Dad just split up so Mum and me had to move. Gramma was kind enough to let us stay in her house but then she moved to 'SunnySide Elderly Home' and left the house in our hands. Now mums found this amazing house and we are moving there soon, that's why there's loads of cardboard boxes and bin bags all round our house.

Gramps walked in as I was placing my school bag on floor.
"Aha, your home from school!" He said, "I thought I heard a noise and then I came walking over here. But silly old gramps, it's my favourite grand daughter."
I giggled and replied, "Yep. It's me!" Me and Gramps had a long conversation, like we usually do, and then I started trotting to the kitchen.
"Look, I don't care. I'm fine!! Me and Em are fine! Uhh, this was all your choice George. Oh bloomin' ell, shut up already!" Someone yelled and then they hung up. I knew who was yelling. And I knew who was George. I made up my mind and decided I wasn't hungry after all. I entered my bedroom and sat on my mattress that I have been using as a bed. Quickly, I pulled open the draw and took out my velvet red notebook. I opened the book. To the first page. And something fell out. A picture. I stared at this picture. It was a man, with short fair hair and big bushy eyebrows. He has his arm around a women, with long messy hair and a long scarf on. They both had one arm each holding a small baby. Me. Mum. Dad. I slammed the book  and threw it to the ground then bashed my head on to wall.

Why can't things just be the way they were?

I woke up on Saturday because of the sound of mum squealing. I looked at my alarm clocks and it said '8:32'. This was about the time I got up for school, and nobody ever got up this early. I ran downstairs in my dressing gown and saw mum in her denim jeans and pink top. She NEVER wore this outfit unless we were going in a car trip.
"Mum? What are you doing? And what are you wearing!!" I asked.
"Oh honey, I didn't tell you yesterday. Did I? Well today the day!" She squealed in excitement, dying to cuddle me to death.
"The day for what?"
"We're moving!!"
"WHA-" But then I was interrupted by a man.
"Uh.. Sorry to disturb you miss, but are there any more boxes to go in the van?" He said, his jacket falling if his shoulders and his hat nearly falling of his head.
"Oh yes, way more!" Mum replied and then she mouthed to word 'One minute!' to me.
I was confused because I had no clue who this stranger was but I ran upstairs to get changed.

I couldn't believe. Today was the day.

"It's.. Its..It-" I whispered, walking through the halls in delight.
"ITS WONDERFUL!" Mum screamed, and did a huge twirl. Her voice filled the whole hall, leaving a annoying echo.
"Let's go to your room, Em!" She squealed excitingly, already half way up the stairs. I ran after her.

We arrived to my room and opened the beautifully painted white door. It creaked open and there stood it. My room. It was amazing. The walls were a bright ice-blue colour and there were sky blue butterflies dancing through icy sky. I had an ENORMOUS king sized bed and an even ENOURMOUSER (If that's even a word) TV opposite. It was so beautiful I burst into tears.
"What's wrong, sugarplum?" She whispered, kneeling down to comport me.
"It's just... So beautiful" I sobbed.

"Im happy you like it!"

My eyes opened the next morning and the first thing I saw was an amazing sky on my ceiling. The decorators had put a picture of sky on my ceiling and I thought it was truly beautiful. I climbed out of my bed and put on my unicorn slippers (So swag!). I walked over to the door and opened it. Suddenly, I felt something fluffy and kind of sticky.
"AHH!" I screamed at tech top of my voice. Mum came running up and then moon at what I had my hand on. Then she burst out laughing.
"Happy Halloween!" She laughed. Then I looked at my door handle. It was a fake cobweb. Wow. I looked at mum. Then she looked at me and stopped laughing.
"Don't you like Halloween, honey?" She whispered.
I took a deep breath, "Nope."
"Why not?"
"There's no point in it! I mean, Christmas is for the day Jesus died and there's birthdays for when we were born. But what's the point of Halloween? Plus it's stupid, all this trickle treating and whatever."
Mum stared at me. I just remembered Halloween was her favourite Holiday. I didn't no what to say so I zipped my mouth and walked away. Everything was silent at breakfast. And we stayed away from each other until Lunch. We both sat down with our sandwiches.
"I'm taking a nap after lunch." I said and then totally zipped my mouth again.
"Ok." Mum replied. I nodded and she nodded and then we carried on eating.

After lunch I came up to my room for my nap. But my door was open. I walked inside, puzzled. Then I saw the window was open. And walked to my draw and..

Where was my notebook.

I ran towards the open draw and stared into empty space where my book went. How could keep my book have been taken? How could someone get in the house? Why would they take my book and not my phone or TV? Why? Why? Why? I stepped forward to get a closer look and BOOM! I fell. I collapsed on to ground in a thump, rivers of mud surrounding me. The last thing I heard was footsteps and the word, "Goodbye."

Then I awoke. But I wasn't on the floor. I was in bed. I climbed out of my comfortable bed and my window was closed and my book was right there and everything was normal. I decided to go on a walk to calm myself down so I headed downstairs to find mum. Mum was lying on the sofa, asleep. With a bottle of wine by her hand. "Huh. Mum must be tired." I whispered to myself and then pulled on my designer converse. I pushed open the front door and stepped into our beautiful, fragrant front garden.

My feet led me into the leafy woods I had been many times before. Except for the leaves where not green and did not fall gracefully, they were oranges, reds and yellow, covered in spiky prickles. I walked on, staring at every leaf I passed by. Then I saw something in the distance. Something not very tall and grand and decorated, with super clean windows and a sparkling wooden door. It was teeny, with a metal door and a flat white roof. No windows. No pretty flowers. I ran towards it and knocked on the door, carefully. No answer. I pushed my ear on the door. Footsteps. Suddenly, there was a scream. I screamed as well. The I heard the, "your not leaving me now...".

I ran. I ran for my life. Then I fell and the whole world became black.

I awoke with a start. "Mum?" I whispered.
"Emma!" Mum screamed, tears streaming down her cheeks, "Your awake!!"
"Mum, what's going on?"
"Honey, the police ran to my house with you in there hands. Apparently, you had fell and fainted so they bought you back here. I'm so glad your ok!" Then she looked at me. "Sweetie, are you felling ok?"
"Uh.. A bi-t-t dizzy.." I replied, hand on my head.
"Oh, maybe we should have a nice relaxing day tomorrow."
"Mum.. I wanna talk.."
"What's up?"
"I heard someone say 'your not leaving me know' while I was in the woods. I'm scared."
"Huh.. You need to tell someone! The police, maybe? Where were you? What was ther-"
"Mum.. Uhh, never mind."  I rolled into my bed until I was comfy then my eyes slowly closed.

I woke up. "Mum?"
"PLEASE NO DONT TAKE M-" Then the door was slammed.
"MUM!" I shot out of bed like a bullet and ran downstairs. She was gone. I fell to the ground, mascara racing down my face. I cried. And cried. And cried... Mum. Was gone.
The something touched me. Clenched me. Grabbed me. Picked me. Ran with me.  I was being taken, away. I didn't scream, for my mouth was shut tight. Help.
