Blake Walker stood there with a smirk as his eyes scanned down my body. Thought I would be lying if I said mine wherent doing the same.
Blake was tall, surly over 6 foot. His dark brown hair was swept back messily and there was a slight shadow growing. His dark brown eyes where locked on my own as he dropped his bag on the floor.
"Rain, it's been a while." He said as a smirk played out on his lips. Yeah it has been a while. Last time I saw him he was just a dumb college kid.
"A long while." I mumbled which he only chuckled at.
"Where's Alice?" He asked as he scanned the room.
"Drunk and asleep." I told him as I started to gather my things. She said nothing of him coming over, and I was not about to stay here with him. The tension was so thick you could practically see it.
"Where you going?" He asked as he watched me move around the apartment.
"Home?" I said unsure of how to answer. Why would it matter to him. Growing up he was always around kind of. He was Alice's big brother, nothing more nothing less. Me and him didn't get along per say, we just bickered a lot. Well that is until he left for college. He was about 3 years older then Alice and I, making him 24.
"But it's dark out, and I'm pretty sure Alice won't be happy to see that you left when she wakes up." Blake said as his eyes once again locked with my own.
"Why does it matter. She's an adult, she'll mange." I said as I rolled my eyes.
"Just go to bed here, don't put up a fight. I know perfectly well you where going to stay over before I showed up, so don't let me be an issue." He stated as he grabbed some of my things and put them down.
"What are you even doing here?" I asked letting the question slip through. I haven't seen him in the last 4 years probably, maybe even more.
"I've got a new job, kinda." He said as he ran his hand through his hair.
"Okay, well I'm just gonna go. The guest room is the second door on the left." I said before I rushed to Alice's room. My heart was beating hard against my chest as I closed the door.
"goodnight Rain." I heard him call from the other side of the door. I quickly slipped off my dress and grabbed a pair of spandex shorts and a shirt. I slipped into the bed on the other side of Alice. What is Blake even doing here?
The next morning I woke up to the bright light coming through the window. How could Alice sleep through this? I slowly got out of the bed and made my way to the kitchen. I started the coffee and then went to make some food.
"Oh do I smell coffee?" I heard a deep voice ask from behind me. I turned around to see Blake standing there in only sweat pants, with is dark hair tousled and messed up. In the corner of my eye I watched Blake pour a two cups of coffee.
"How do you take it?" He asked as he took a sip of his black coffee.
"Uh... what?" I asked puzzled at him.
"Your coffee?" He asked raising an eyebrow as he smirked at me.
"Oh just black." I said as I flipped over a pancake.
"What did you think I meant?" He asked as he stepped closer to me.
"God Blake, I thought you would have grown up in your time away." I said rolling my eyes. He is awful, him and his stupid remarks.
"Hey I'm never going to lose this charm." He stated as he offered me my mug of black coffee. I slowly took it from him, taking a sip.
"And thank you for these." Blake said as he bent over and took my plate of food.
"Hey no those are mine." I argued as I reached for the plate, but he held it out of my reach.
"Oh no you don't." He said before slipping away and going to sit at island. I watched as he shoved down the pancakes and bacon.
"This is so good. I missed home cook food." He said as he finished up the plate full before I even got to finish my cup of coffee.
"Oh do I smell pancakes?" Alice asked as she walked into the kitchen.
"About time sleeping beauty." I said as I handed her a plate. Alice was a great friend, and honestly she was not the best at anything responsible. I'm sure the only meal she could make is cereal or a PB& J sandwich.
"You're the best." She mumbled as she bite into the pancake.
"I know." I said with a smirk. I ran the hot water and started to clean up the kitchen.
"When did you get here?" She asked as she looked over at her older brother.
"Last night when you where down right drunk." He said as he smacked the back of her head.
"Ow!" Alice whined as she elbowed him back.
"Don't be stupid." He sassed her back.
"So why is he here?" I asked as I looked over at Alice. Blake and her are very close for siblings. She would always get super hyped if she knew he was going to visit or if she was going up to his place. And she did not even mention him coming.
"He is still here." Blake stated in a annoying tone.
"He is moving back. He's staying here for a some time before he gets his own place." Alice said completely ignoring Brent remark.
"God now I feel like I'm being a third wheel." Blake mumbled before leaving the room.
"Are you staying here or what? We can go shopping." Alice offered with a smile.
"I need to get back, I'm tired and have a paper to write. Plus you have a guest to entertain." I told her with a smile. They needed their brother sister time.
"Well call me later, I don't need you to be held up in your room for a few years." She joked but I gave her a glare.
"yeah yeah whatever. " I mumbled before closing her door and making my way over to my place. It wasn't as fancy as Alice's flat but it was descent. She had two bedroom and everything else, It was in a nicer building and the cost for it was way higher up.
My place was a one bedroom, with a small kitchen that was linked to the living space which wasn't that big. Other than a bathroom and a walk in closet there wasn't much more to my place.
I changed out my clothes and hopped in to the cold shower. Why was Blake staying at Alice's house. Why couldn't he stay over their parent place. It was weird seeing him after all this time. It's weird being attracted to Blake, Alice's older brother.
