-Warning! Some swearing. Prolly should have done this before. Oops.-

Arthur's POV

I had to swap out my normal guitar for an acoustic, but other than that, we had no problems. We actually worked together really well, and that surprised me. He had a good voice, and I had to admit I enjoyed listening to it. I could hear him humming as I played through it, eventually breaking into the words.

"Like my fathers come to pass,
Twenty years has gone so fast.
Wake me up,
When September ends..."

The sing finished, and I looked up at him.

"You sound good."

I thought the American Idiot blushed, but I doubted it.

"Thanks Iggy."

"Who the bloody hell is 'Iggy'?"

Alfred laughed and grinned at me. It looked slightly psychotic, but I ignored it.

"You. It's a new nickname I guess. I think it's kind of like a crack at the whole 'England' thing."

I crossed my arms.

"I don't like it."

Alfred just shrugged and began to sing again, so I sighed and played along.

"Here comes the rain again,
Falling from the stars,
Drenched in my pain again,
Becoming who we are...
As my memory rest,
It never forgets what I lost,
Wake me up,
When September ends."

Hearing him sing that for some reason gave me the chills, he sounded so... pained. He was putting so much emotion into this song. I put my guitar down, but he just continued singing until he realized I wasn't playing with him. His voice trailed off, and he looked at me.

"Something wrong?" He tilted his head.

I raised an eyebrow.

"I could ask you the same thing..."

"Eh?"

"You're putting a lot of emotion in this song... Is something wrong?"

Was it just me, or did the light in Alfred's eyes die just then? Just for a second. Not long. Then he shook his head.

"Ah, nah. I just like to actually get into the song." He murmured.

I shook my head. I picked up my guitar again, and looked at him.

"Wanna play again?"

He nodded and I began the tune on my guitar.

Alfred's POV

I can't tell him... Can I? He did seem genuinely concerned, but... I really don't know him, do I? I sang along to his guitar- he really was very good- and looked at my lap. The look in his eyes was really intense, and they made me squirmish even when he wasn't looking at me. I shifted in my seat slightly. He hummed along to the song as he played, the sound mixing together quite nicely. The song finished, and he looked up and eyed me suspiciously.

"Are you okay? You're acting really..." He paused, searching for the right word. "Antsy."

I squirmed again when his eyes met mine and nodded.

"Yea it's just... y-your eyes..."

He sighed and rubbed at his eyes with the heel of his palms. When he looked at me again, he looked really tired. He probably was, I realized.

"My eyes? What about them?" He asked wearily.

I shifted slightly, not sure how to answer his question.

"They're really... Beautiful..." I heard myself say.

Shit, I let that slip out? He paused and stared at me, his forest green eyes meeting my sky blue ones. His cheeks were dusted with a light and barely noticeable red.

"Thanks." He murmured, and that was the first time I looked at him. Like, actually looked at him.

His hair was messy in only a way products could not attempt, his eyes were really bright and shining, and his face looked kind of ... feminine. I tilted my head and inspected his face closer. It wasn't anything too noticeable, so I kind of just passed it off as one of those things, when a guy looks really girly, like Yao. But he was very... pretty. And that's what irked me. Not in a bad way, of course... It was just suspicious...

Arthur's POV

I couldn't suppress my sigh as I caught the American Idiot staring at me.

"What now, you bloody wanker?" I murmured.

He smiled at me and shrugged.

"You look kind of feminine, that's all."

He had no idea that that statement made my stomach jump up in my throat. Oh my god, did he know? He couldn't, could he?

"Dude, you aren't offended, are you? Yao looks like a girl too. I didn't mean to offend you, bro." He said hurriedly.

I bit back a sigh of relief. Okay, he didn't figure it out. My secret was safe.

-Ah it's slightly shorter I'm so sorry but that's where I thought I'd leave it because suspense.-
