This dream, who is that, her long aquamarine hair shimmering in the light, her beautiful turquoise eyes. Where are you, how can I meet you again? As she recedes back into light I'm awakened from this dream. The white ceiling, the sunshine that penetrates through the blinds of the bedside window. I remember her, I met her as a child, someone whose smile was like that of a flower and her kindness and warmth were genuine. Will I ever be able to meet her again? I don't even know the answer to that. I start getting ready for work and head into town. The streets are bustling with people who are working and walking around enjoying life in this small village in the middle of the forest. The path just outside of town leads to the lake where the temple for the ruler of the seas resides, on that floating island high above the lake. I walk into the cafe where I work and I'm greeted by my friend and coworker who looks sad.
" Natsu......"
" What is it Eriol?"
" Why are you always the one that all the girls are always looking at, they come here every time just to see you and whenever they confess to you, you're always turning them down."
" Well, I can't help it if they come here to see me and I already have someone I like."
" What? Why didn't you say so sooner? Who is she?"
" Someone whom I've met a long time ago when I went with my father on business."
" Is she pretty? Nice? Cute?...."
" She's everything I look for in a girl."
" Natsu, you really are dedicated." Eriol says this and begins to get teary eyed on me. He's been my friend since I first moved here from the seaside city." Natsu, can make this delivery to the old lady who lives out in the forest near the lake?" Kent asks me, cutting off the conversation I was having with Eriol.
" Yea, I'll go right now."I forgot to mention this, but most of our employees are guys and the only girl is the manager of the place. I grab the delivery basket and head toward my next destination. As I'm walking out, I'm swarmed by the immense amount of female customers that frequent the shop.
" Are you going somewhere Natsu?" Girl A asks.
" Another delivery, can't you just stay here?" Girl B asks.I fight my way through the crowd and begin to run toward the towns gates and into the forest. Women can be scary at times like these. *sigh. I begin slowing down when I am a safe distance where they won't follow me anymore. The trees are a nice green with a gentle breeze blowing through them and a nice touch of sunshine penetrating through its leaves. It's so peaceful on the outskirts of town, I live right outside of the main square, but out here is the most peaceful. I finally reach the lakeside. The vast floating island spills water from above forming the lake and the temple that sits on top of it remains undisturbed. I walk toward the lake's edge and peer down at the deep, blue water, I can't really see anything too deep down but I can see the fish that live here. I spot the old ladies house and head there to make my delivery.
A person is peering down into the lake, no one aside from the old lady who lives out here comes to peer down and offer up prayer to the temple of water. I'm tempted to swim to the surface to see who it is, but I don't want anyone to find me. When I see that the person has walked away from the water's surface I begin to slowly swim up. When I reach the surface and into the air, I see the person that I thought has left still there looking me in the face.
I turn around to the loud splashing of water to find a girl with vast, feathered wings and the tail of a mermaid's. She has beautiful, long, aqua hair and mesmerizing turquoise eyes. She has alabaster skin and a slender figure. She's someone I remember very well, she looks back at me with those pretty eyes I'd remember anywhere, no matter how much time has passed.
This boy, I remember this person, he was one of the ones who was in the back of my memory, someone I met a long time ago. I don't remember his name, but I was really close to him. The pieces are all fitting into the lost puzzle to my memories.
Her name is....
His name is.....Poseidon.
Natsu.
