The Arashiyama Unit were the instructors. They explained about the point system. You start off with 1000 points, unless you have previous experience. You need 4000 to become B-Rank.

Arashiyama told everyone to pick a trigger type. The snipers went with Satori, The gunners went with Arashiyama, and the attackers went with Kitora.

(The story is in Asnee's POV from now on.)

I followed Kitora to the training hall as she explained the three attacker triggers. I think I got the hang of it. Scorpion was a sword that could change shape and phase through surfaces. It had a high offense, but low durability. It wasn't meant for blocking attacks, only making speedy attacks. The Raygust is a defensive trigger. It can morph from a shield to a sword and comes with the optional trigger Thruster. It gives a speed boost to the weapon. It is mostly defense so it doesn't have a high attack. The Kogetsu is a perfect balance of attack and defense. It can't change its shape. It is the most balanced and used weapon at Border.

"Those are dominant hand triggers," Kitora explained, "You can equip another trigger with your opposite hand. Most agents with the Scorpion choose to use the shield as there other trigger. But Ko Murakami uses a Raygust as his other trigger. Now that you know choose."

She tossed everyone grayish handles, called triggers. Choose a dominant and an opposite. "Dominant, opposite," I thought. Something occurred to me. Kei Tachikawa and Shuji Miwa both use other weapons as there opposite. I'll try that.

My dominant will be the Kogetsu and my opposite will be....a pistol.

"There are also optional triggers like Shuji Miwa's lead bullet. They accompany the user and can be used in many different ways. Grasshopper is a pad that the user can place anywhere and when you come in contact you get a jump boost. Chameleon can turn the user invisible, but he or she will still be on radar. Bagworm is a cape-like cloth that makes the user disappear on radar. Lead Bullet can put solid lead bars where the bullets land, weighing down opponents. I already explained about Thruster so I think that's it. The user can choose which optional to use on command. Any questions," Kitora explained.

"Will we use these today," a kid gestured to her trigger.
"Yes, in fact, where about to now. Who's first," Kitora scanned the room her eyes finally settling on me,"You. You first."

"Okay," I replied.
"Step inside the simulation room and activate your trigger. Then, take down the Trion soldier. And remember, your timed," She directed.

I did as told. "Trigger On," I said as instructed. Before me stood a familiar figure. A Bamster. I readied myself and lunged towards it drawing my Kogetsu. I sliced the sphere inside what seemed to be a mouth and the bamster fell to the ground it was dead. Suddenly, two rabbits appeared next to me. I drew my pistol firing at.the one closest to me. It fell down motionless and I focused on the one left. "Optional," I thought pointing my pistol its way. I shot at its feet and activated lead bullet. It was pinned.

A grin appeared on my face. I had it where I wanted. I lunged forward slicing its eye as I did the bamster.

"Who's next," Kitora asked as I stepped out.

I decided to check in on Eun and Hideo. Then return home. Eun was targeting dummies, fake targets, with his sniper. He chose the Egret. He was shooting surprisingly well. Headshots only. I was impressed. I left before he noticed me.

I got to the gunners in time to see Hideo take out a group of Mole Mods with Viper. I noticed he shot them from behind. He sent them up and around and like some others he shot the Vipers with a machine gun. And used the chameleon. He also had a Raygust hanging at his side. He drew the Raygust defended himself with it. He used Thruster to push the enemy backward as he shot Viper at them fiercely.

When he stepped out of the simulator, he noticed me in the doorway.

"How long were you there Asnee," he asked.
"About five minutes," I answered.
"Did you check on Eun,"
"He's doing good. Wanna see?"
"I got to see this,"

We walked in and saw Eun flip from his perch, drop Egret, and draw Scorpion. He sliced 5-6 dummies heads off, then realized we were watching.

"This is fun," Eun said.
"You could say that again," Hideo agreed
"It's fun, but tiring. Lets get something to eat. On me," I insisted.
"I could eat," Eun agreed.
"Me too," Hideo said, rubbing his stomach.

I took them to a place called Ferro's Wasabi. Eun took a booth seat, so we sat too. Eun ordered first saying that he did the best.

"No you didn't," I laughed.
"You really didn't," Hideo insisted.
"Sure I didn't," Eun laughed out.
"Our captain did the best. Finished his training and still had time to check on us. That's hardcore," Hideo gestured to me.

We ate and went back to my house. Hideo and Eun both thanked me for being their captain. We promised each other we would be B-Rank.
