Chapter 2

ETHAN POV

I walked out of the room leaving her to free herself out of the ropes, (not that she could). I know it was wrong of me to tie her up and leave her but, I'm sick of her calling by my full name, she knows how much I hate that, but she does it anyway to get under my skin so, servers her right.

When I walked into the living room I heard Izzy asking Cole if he seen Liyah. I smiled evilly walking past them and making my way into the dining room. I picked up my bag and bow and headed for the door. Just as I was walking out the door, Conner stepped in front of me but, Izzy spoke "Has anyone seen Liyah?" I sight "She's in my room" I say while pushing past Conner and walking out the door. I knew I was gonna get an ear full from Conner but it was worth it.

A few hours later we were standing outside our targets house listening to Cole go over the plan once again. "Taylor and Tyler, you two take the front door, me and Ethan will take the side. Conner you take the back" "Everybody ready?" I ask. With a quick node of the head we took our positions.

I heard a knock on the door followed by a loud crash and foot steps. "Their making a run for it" I heard my brother yell. I took off to the back of the house. The first thing I notice was Conner and Cole fighting a tall muscular built vampire, his movement showed that he's skilled in combat. I then seen Taylor and Tyler each fighting a vampire. Wait a minute I thought its suppose to be 4 vampires. Easing my way into the house, I walked carefully down the hall until I came to a room, slowly pulling out my knife. I pushed open the door and what I saw surprised me. Laying across the bed was a man sleeping. Wait this doesn't make since I thought to myself, what is a human doing here. Not taking any chances with my knife drawn I jumped on the sleeping man. His eyes shot open a look of confusion crossed his dazed face. (Dammit he is human) Climbing off the man while pulling him up in the process. I could hear my brothers entering the house "Ethan, Ethan" I heard them yelling. Walking out of the room I called back "I'm right here, I found him in the bed room sleeping" I said pushing the boy forward "What were they doing with a human?" Conner asked more to himself. "Do he have any bite marks?" Cole asked. Pulling the boy to his feet I looked his over "no" I replied. "We should turn him over to the royal's " the twin said at the same time. "Or" I said "We can kill him, he's not our problem" "please dont kill" the boy spoke. I smiled turning my knife over in my hand "And why shouldn't we" I asked but, before he could answer Conner spoke "We're not gonna kill him" he said while pulling out his phone. He walked out of the room, a few minutes later he returned closing his phone. " He's coming with us". Great I thought just another annoying human in the house to tie up.
