Days had grown longer, minutes turned into hours, the world was almost at a pause.
"5,4,3,2..."
*school bell rings*
Leila threw her chair back making a screeching noise as the metal legs of the plastic chair grinded onto the cold slabs of stone.
"Not so fast leila, the bell doesn't dismiss you, I do" crocked the teacher behind her giant desk. Miss Vaux was her name. God did leila hate that woman. She had grey frizzy hair which made a birds nest seem tidy and soft compared to what ever she had on her head. She also had blue crystal eyes and wrinkly pale skin. Her skin kind of reminded leila of glass being smashed. Cracked and broken. Miss Vaux was so old and stubborn, probably the same age of this school!
After the words that were spat out of Miss Vaux's trash can of a mouth leila gave a blank stare followed by her dropping her bag creating an echo boom fill the room as if it was world war 3 purposely to set off Miss Vaux's hay fever due to the dust sprinkled around the room like icing sugar.
"You know why your in here, it's because you rude and..."
Her voice trailed off as leila blocked it out now only hearing her tone of her voice as it went high then low. Some people could describe it as the same sound of a broken, untuned violin crying out for help.
Leila sat back on her chair and acted as if she wasn't bothered at all and that she was comfortable, where as really all she could feel was the back of the chair re arrange her spine as it pushed to keep her sitting straight.
"Do you understand me!"
At once as these words jumped out of Miss Vaux's mouth and bounced off the walls and hit leila right across the face, leila gave a gentil nod and didn't make eye contact. She had figured out that arguing would just keep her waiting longer.
"You are dismissed."
And without any further words leila was already out of the door.
As she raced up the long corridors, trying to squeeze and duck under all of the other students of the school, another boy, around her age, gave her a long glare as she skidded past.
"Where were you?!" Questioned Annelies as she gripped leila by her leather jacket protecting her arm. "You almost missed it". Annelies scurried along faster dragging leila behind as they both laughed.
They then starred down from the window of the girls toilets and cooed over the boys from the football match get changed, they giggled like little school girls and would then just fantasise about having a boyfriend.
Leila had never had a boyfriend before let alone her first kiss. Annelies would always compliment her and tell leila that she would one day have a boyfriend but as life moved on so did she.
Annelies and leila were very close. Annelies had a blondie Brown colour hair and blueish eyes with a splash of green as if someone flicked paint straight at her eyes. She was a year younger than leila.
"Ahhh, why won't anyone go out with me?!" Leila cried out suddenly. She wrapped her self up as if in a bubble, pulling her knees up to her chest and burying her head down onto them.
"You will, sometimes, sometimes it just takes some time..." Annelies said softly whitest cuddling up to her.
*beep beep beep...*
The school bells ring as if church bells and let a moment of silence followed by a rush of student run down the halls is a fluster to get to class.
"Leila I have to go but I will see you at lunch right? Or maybe on the bus..."
The bathroom door opened and closed and in those few seconds all there was was a sudden rise in noise and then silent again. Questions started to zoom across her mind like cars on a race track.round and round and round again and again. "Am I not good enough?" " is everyone else skinnier" "Do I need to go on a diet" " maybe more funny?"
A tear rolled down her left flushed cheek; she could feel the cold trail it left behind as it slid further and further down her face. She wiped it away and looked up to the ceiling starting to struggle to breathe, it was like she was trapped in a huge tank filled with water. She tried to scream but no noise came out. she heard nothing, everything was blurry and she felt dizzy... BANG! ... Everything turned black.
