Its been four months since I've seen you last
A new job in a new city
We got more money because of it but I want you more
Today is the day you get to finally come home
I wait on the porch looking for your truck
Hours pass by and you're still not hear
It's dark and cold so I have to go inside
That does not stop me from looking out my window
More hours pass
I skip dinner
I try to call
Finally I end up falling asleep
I wake up to a door knocking and my mom answering it
After I wake up a little, I gasps
"DADDY!" I say happily running to the door.
I squeeze past my mom ready to see my dad
But I don't see him
I see a man
I see my mom crying
She thanks the strange man and closes the door
She bent down to my level, wipping away a tear
She spoke with a choaking voice
"Sweet heart something happened with daddy and he's not coming home"
"He is working longer?" I asked my crying mother
She shook her head and cried more
"Daddy was working on the railroad when a train came, he tried to run but tripped, Hunny daddy- "
I coverd my ears screaming, I cried
"NO!" I screamed "let it be a joke, a sick joke!" I begged
My mom tried to hug me but I pushed away running to my room
I locked the door and buried my face in my pillow
I wanted to stay there forever
I looked around the room to the pictures and letters from my dad
"How can I be a Daddy's girl without my daddy?" I whispered to myself.
