"Uhg do I have to wear this!" I groan as Maura ties my tie around my neck that feels like it's choking me

"Yes you do" I sigh looking down at the grey suit Maura bought me to wear to court today.

"I hate this" I mumble. She looks at me knowing I'm just talking about the suit

"I know you do. But all you have to do is talk to the judge" she tells me placing a hand on my arm

"I don't want to talk about it all again"

She shakes her head "you won't have to. He already has the statement you and Greg gave to the police. He just wants to talk to you then we can leave and this'll all be over and you won't ever have to worry about that man again"

I just nod wanting to get this day over with "you look handsome" she smiles warmly

I chuckle rolling my eyes "come on we have to go"

"Um I just have to do something real quick" I tell her

"Alright. Be quick though alright? Meet me down stairs" I nod and walk out of my dorm going into the music room

I find the boys in there Liam and Harry laughing at something while Louis plays piano

"Oh hey Nialler we thought you left already?" Liam says

I shake my head "Um no I'm just about to I just um came to ah say goodbye"

"Oh alright. Hey are you okay?" Harry asks me

"Yeah yeah of course it just um my father is gonna be there" my throat becomes dry

"Niall, they have him in custody. He cant hurt you. You won't even see him" I just nod at Louis' words

They come over and wrap me in a group hug "I have to go Maura's waiting for me" I say smiling as we pull apart from each other

They nod so I start to walk  out the door "thank you" I tell them and leave

"Ready to go?" Maura asks me as I come down stairs

"Yeah" I nod once the lady at the front desk takes my bracelet off my wrist. We drive to the court building that's only 30 minutes away from the facility but for some reason it feels like hours away.

"Ready?" Maura asks me as we pull into the court car lot. I look out my window to the building that just looks like an average brick building.

I can't help but think back to the day Maura dropped me off at the facility four months ago. So much has changed since then

"Yeah" I nod "I guess so" I climb out of the car and follow Maura to the building.

We walk in and have to go through security like in an airport. We had to walk through metal detectors and take any metal we had on us off and they scanned Maura's bag.

"That was intense" I joke as we get past the security

She laughs a bit wrapping her arm around my shoulders. Normally if anyone but one of the lads even attempted to touch me like this I would move away faster than you could blink but for some reason I don't. For some reason it doesn't feel awkward, or uncomfortable and I don't feel panicky it's just normal.

We sit on a bench outside of the courtroom. "Okay we're just gonna wait here until they call you then you'll talk to the judge an we'll leave alright?"

I nod feeling nervous. I just can't stop thinking about the fact that my fathers in this building somewhere. I can't decide if I want to see him cause I miss him or if I want to go beat the shit out of him or if I just want to hide from him.
