                         BREAKING BAD

"You know, you never told me where we were going." I smirk, casting a glance at him. We met up at the town square when I decided to take a walk in the woods. My parents didn't come home last night so I figured, why not have good company to clear my head. Which didn't work out since I was with Jeremy. He's always messing with my head. And the fact I was practically in love with the guy didn't help at all. It just caused more weight on my shoulders.

"Who said we had a destination?" Chuckling, I stuff my hands in my jacket pocket, looking over at Jeremy, only to realize he was already looking at me. My breath stopped short, staring into his eyes as he stares into mine. Taking one step forward, he places his hand on my cheek and-

Gasping awake, Jordan slams her hand down onto her alarm clock. She was really getting tired of the damn thing ruining her sleep, more so waking her up from her dream. Huffing, she steps out of bed and heads into her bathroom, freshening up.

She never understood why she forced herself to get up at this ungodly hour.

Maybe because it was her brothers alarm clock. It was daily for him to go for a run at 6 am. She always found that it was a natural talent for someone to wake up so early. And the fact he goes through the woods, he was more absorbed then she thought.

As she puts on her running shoes, she quietly chuckles to herself. Guess she was as crazy as he was.

30 minutes pass and she's already in the midst of the woods. Somehow being here alone at this time of day calmed her. She was never one to appreciate the beauty of nature, but then again she doesn't appreciate much things anymore. Not after what happened to her family.

She felt sorry for herself as much as it is. She didn't even appreciate them when they were still alive. That saying, "Appreciate what you have until its gone," never left a more bitter taste in her mouth.

She needed to be strong. She needed people to know she's not the same girl she was 3 months ago. She was brave and had nothing to lose. She stood up for herself and let no one take advantage of her.

At least that's what she keeps telling herself.

In reality, she feels empty inside, a hole in her chest that constantly reminds her how much of a disappointment she is. She lives alone in her family home, with no one taking care of her. Her aunt doesn't even have the courage to come back. At least she's smart enough not to.

She wanted to break down then and there but she didn't. Instead she just rammed into someone's chest.

Stumbling back, she sets her lips in a straight line. Looking up, she catches sight of a beautiful pair of blue eyes that made her heart beat faster than usual. Her lip twitched, her heartbeat ringing in her ears and she coughs, hoping he wouldn't hear. Which she found insane. Of course he didn't.

Of course he did. That was the whole reason why he had that stupid smirk on his face.

Biting her tongue, she walks away, letting out a breath she didn't know she was holding. That smirk of his itched her the wrong way. She wanted a gentleman, not an arrogant slub.

"Are you not going to apologize?" Sensing his ignorant behavior, she rolls her eyes, turning to face him.

She refused to let him take play with her mind. So why not play fire with fire?

"Well, if I say I'm sorry I'd have to actually mean it now don't I?"

The mans face goes blank for a second before raising a brow. He was merely intrigued. The only other person that spoke to him like that was Rebekah with her sharp tongue. A wave of emotions hit him like a wildfire. He wasn't expecting the girl to be snarky towards him. Usually the quiet ones are easily caught by is attention.

He looks Jordan up and down, reading her aura. He felt a cold rush run through him, looking intently at her. A hundred thoughts clog his mind as he tries to interpret the feeling he's getting from this girl. It left his mind in a haze, confusing him even more. But one thing was for sure, she didn't give a shit.

Smiling, he steps forward, "Klaus Mikaelson." He introduces himself, eager to see what she will do next.

Jordan ignores his hands and walks away, leaving Klaus in his smirking glory.

After going home and cleaning up, Jordan heads towards the grill to get a bite to eat. One thing she wished she could have payed more attention to was her moms cooking. She would smell it from her room and her mouth would immediately water. She would always run into Danny on her way down to her kitchen. Fighting over who gets their food first. It always brought a smile to her face.

As she enters, from across the bar, Matt sighs in relief. He was worried that something happened to her. She was always here on Mondays, at the exact time. Glancing at the clock, 2:42.

She was twelve minutes late. She's never late. It was the only time he got to see her. Heading over with a smile, he takes out his notepad, looking at her playfully. When Jordan picked her head up and saw Matt, she immediately relaxed. She didn't want to see Jeremy right now. Her day was already ruined.

"Hey Matt." She says quietly, playing with a strand of hair, twirling it around her finger. Every time Matt was around, she suddenly grew nervous. His eyes were just so.. blue.

"Hey D, want your usual?" Ignoring the pain in both their chest, they smile. Danny came up with that nickname.

"Of course. It's the only thing that looks good on the menu." It was Danny's favorite meal. Matt scoffs, mocking offense.

"Hey! Its only a picture. You'll never know until you try." He says, putting his notepad in his pocket all the while Jordan just sits there smiling at him.

"Looks can be deceiving." She mutters to him, chuckling, while in the back of her mind she's as serious as Damon is about his bourbon. The vampire is just another arrogant slub that she befriended. That reminds her, she needs another batch of vervain.

Matt walks away, promising to be quick with her order, leaving Jordan all alone. His day finally better than yesterday. Jordan always brought a good vibe to the grill. It was like seeing your best friend for the first time in years. But it's only been three months. And Matt still feels his chest ache, remembering how his friends lied to her. Lied to her about how Danny died. He didn't want any part of it but per usual, he was sucked in. Looking back at his friend, he frowns, feeling his mood worsen. I'm so sorry D.

Out of boredem, Jordan sets her chin in the palm of her hand, sighing out. It felt so weird for her to be out of her house. She wonders why she does it once a week. Maybe she'll change it to two days a week. She glances around the grill, not noticing Klaus staring at her from the bar, his jaw clenched.
