Eli mopped her brow with the back of her hand. They had been in the sweltering heat for almost two hours, with Eli trying to make the water dance. They were at the river, and Eli was only making the water splish and splosh instead of what she was supposed to make it do.
"It's no use, Ryn! I can't do it!" she whined, slapping the water. Lucas, who was sitting on a tree branch, snickered at Eli.
"Come on, Eli. You're being lazy again." Ryn called and whispered a few water runes. The runes plopped down on the water, then it began to rise up. It formed a chair, and Ryn sat on it, but it didn't get her wet. "Try again,Eli."
Eli grit her teeth, but slid her hand in the cool water, then closed her eyes. She tried to picture what she always wanted to make out of water. She felt light headed suddenly, then she heard a cry. And splashing. She snapped open her eyes, and saw Lucas drained from head to foot with water with a furious expression on his face.
"What was that for?!" He pushed his golden hair away from his eyes. Eli thought his sulk was a cute one. She looked at Ryn. Her mouth twitched, and so did hers. Then they began laughing.
"S-s-sorry. . ." giggled Eli. Then she was doused with water. This time, Lucas was laughing himself. He was near the water now, and was splashing water on both of them.
"Hey!" Eli said, raising her arms as a shield.
Then Lucas splashed a huge wave at Eli. She waited for the impact while putting her arms in front of her. The wave never came down at her and when she opened her eyes, it was to see that the wave was suspended in mid-air. Eli gave a rather evil smile at Lucas.
"Uh oh. " Lucas said and backed off a bit.
She sent the water raining down on Lucas and laughed along with Ryn.
His head popped out of the water. "That's not fair!"
"Okay okay. I won't use big waves." she laughed.
"Hey, I'm joining in on the fun!" Ryn said, standing up and making her water chair fall.
Eli made the first move. She pictured the water clinging on to Ryn's foot and pulling her down. Sure enough, she heard Ryn scream and a loud splashing noise. She laughed loudly when suddenly, she was pulled down to the water as well. She saw Lucas' feet running towards Ryn and made him slip. Standing up, she made the nearby vines on the trees move towards her by manipulating the water inside. Once she got a hold of the vine, she used it to get to the tree it came from.
Lucas and Ryn's heads popped out of the water.
"Nice. You're thinking really well on which things you can move using the water. Good job! You're learning fast, Eli. Try not to close your eyes when you move the water though."
With that, she threw icicles at Eli and Lucas. He wailed as he dodged the icicles, and Eli was concentrating hard on finding the water in the tree. When she finally did, she made one of the branches block the icicles. She was concentrating hard now, trying to keep the branch in that position while she turned the icicles back to water. Sweat trickled down her forehead when she suddenly felt light-headed.
She struggled to keep sane, but her vision was clouding up. The branch moved out of the way and back to it's normal position, the water that was suspended in mid-air dropped to the ground, and she focused her wary eyes on Ryn. She can see that her mouth was moving, but no sound came to her ears. Then everything clouded uptroi, and she felt herself falling down.

She was mounted on a black horse, who ran like the wind and obeyed her thoughts. A misty fog covered the land where she was going to. With a clap of her hands, the fog disappeared. With it gone, she had a clear view of the landscape now: A field full of geysers. Hole after deadly hole fired hot gas into the air. A small smile crept into the woman's mouth. This is going to be fun, she thought.
She steered her horse around the geysers and if one bursted near her, she moved the gas away. She crossed the breaking ground and bursting gases when she finally reached her destination - the Peak of Beginnings. She lifted the ground beneath her feet and headed towards the peak. The temperature dropped and a thunderstorm was headed her way. She took a glance on it, then the black clouds shivered and dispersed. Then she began to climb.
She quickly ran to the middle where huge stones floated in a circular manner surrounded by a spell circle. She reached the edge and began to chant: Sol et luna, ab aquilone et, irritum facias circu-
Suddenly, a force knocked her to the side. She looked up to see... a dragon? Black wings dominated the night sky, and its eyes, they were fires burning in red orbs. Its teeth and talons were about 3 feet long each, and were the sharpest she had ever seen. The dragon swooped down and breathed fire at her. She raised her hands and the fire stopped. She fired it back at the dragon, and she stopped, her hands mid-air. The dragon roared with such ferocity even it made her tremble.
The sky, a crimson red a while ago, turned into a sweltering cerulean as the dragon spat out furious blue flames out of its mouth.
