Chapter 5

As i walked down the street i saw a guy standing by a building.
Did i know him? If so, where?
I stared at him and asked "What are you doing here late at night?"
He looked at me, confused.
"You can see me?" He replied.
"Uhh, yeah."
"You a wanderer or somethin?" He asked.
"What?" I replied
"Well, whats your name?"
"My names Jenny, whats yours?" I replied
"The names max, gotta go now."
He walked away and i continued down the sidewalk.

9:12pm
I opened the house door and went inside.
My dad walked towards me and asked
"Why are you late?"
"Sorry, i couldnt find a ride home." I replied in fear.
He nodded and walked back to the kitchen.

I ran into my room and collapsed onto my bed. I took my computer and looked at my emails.
Soccer game: 12:30am
Then i took my phone and called Becky.
She didnt answer.

I got worried but im pretty sure shes fine.
I then called Brooklynn but she didn't answer.
Sitting on my bed i thought to myself,
Why didn't i call Becky at the party for a ride?
Maybe i shouldnt go to parties anymore.
Oh well.

Saturday morning
I was at home alone, the usual saturday morning.
Today i had a soccer game. So i decided to call nelly.

Shes been taking me to places whenever my parents cant. So i called Nelly.
"Hello?" She answered as she picked up the phone.
"Soccer game." I replied.
"Oh ok, what time?"
"12:30 but come here at 12."
"Ok, cya." She answered.

12am
I got my soccer uniform on and my soccer cleats with it.
Got the ball, got everything ready.
Opened the door and sat on the balcony.
I started to think about the guy i met last night.
What exactly did he mean by wanderer?
Who was he anyway? What was he doing there?

12:23
Nellys car stopped in the front of my house.
I walked towards the car, opened the door, and said hi.
Nelly said hi back.

"So hows school?" Nelly asked.
"The usual."
"What about your love life?" She asked agian.
"The usual."
"Sooooo that means 0?"

"That is offensive." I replied in a sarcastic tone.
"Hah, i was just messing with you. But seriously."
"I know, i know" I said.
"What about your rep?" She asked.
"Its legit. I guess."
"Legit as in it sucks?"
"Maybe, maybe not." I replied.
We both laughed and Nelly turned on the music radio.
