"I love you too, (y/n)." Izaya said with a chuckle at your comment. "Would you rather I play hard to get?" You pout. His eyes widen. "Not at all, (y/n). You make me so happy that I can finally experience something called love!" "That's the only reason why?!" You whine. "Well yeah!" He says with a giggle. You get up irritated that he would only think of that one thing. You smirked in your head. 'Don't play hard to get, eh? We'll see how he takes this!' You go check the pie in the oven. You hear Izaya breathing as he pulls you close to him once you stand up. You fight a blush and push him away. "(Y/n)~" he whines. You don't look at him, but rather walk away. A look of hurt flashes across his face. "Why are you running away?" He calls after you. You go into the guest bedroom and lock the door, stifling a laugh as he tries to open the door. "(Y/n), why are you doing this?" He whines, sitting down with his back against the door. You don't say anything, only smirk at your success. You finally decide to say, "Oh, I don't know, maybe because someone says they only love me because they can experience something new." Izayas eyes widen. "That's what your upset about? (Y/n), I didn't mean it like that! I meant it as in I don't feel like doing stupid things like fighting shizuo, because if I don't live to see the end of it, I won't get to experience a future with you!" You were in shock. "Y-You want to be with me... in the future?" You barely whisper, the guilt making you feel sick. "No, (y/n). I want to be with you forever." You open the door and run into his arms. "Is that a promise?" You mumble into his chest. "Yeah, I guess it is. You're gonna have to put up with me for a whole lot longer then, (y/n)." He says with a chuckle. "I don't mind." You said smiling. You quickly pecked him on the cheek and hid your head in his chest, embarrassed. He smiled at you and rested his head in the crook of your neck. "Good, because even if you did, you wouldn't get rid of me that easily." You smile. "Well I'll enjoy every second of your annoyingness."
