Chapter 13

Wow.

That's all I could think. I thought I was the only one who was still hurting about my moms lost. But that outburst said so much.

"Hey." Ashley said

"Ughhhhhhhh." I said falling backwards on the bed.

"Long day?"

"Yea."

"Long night too huh." Ashley said nudging me. "Get up girl tell me what happened!"

I got up and told her everything starting from the very beginning.

"Guuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurl!!" Ashley said kicking her feet. "Whoo let me stop that's how I got this one." She said pointing to her stomach.

"What do you want to have?" I asked her sitting on my knees.

"Well I want a girl but Marlon want a Lil Jr runnin around."

I gasped "Girl you told him? What he say?"

"He kinda already knew." Ashley said laughing. "And he's happy about it."

"That's good girl I'm happy everything is working out. But I'm about to get in the shower and when I get out we can start this homework."

"Okay." Ashley said laying down.

"Don't go to sleep Ashley." I said pointing my finger to her.

"I'm noooot."

In the shower all I could think all I could think was I really hurt my dads feelings. I shouldn't have brought mom up. I'm just hurt she the only women I can see my dad with. I don't anyone tryna play mommy.

"Ughhhhhhh." I said turning off the water. I put on my shorts with a big shirt. I walked out the bathroom and into my room where I heard light snoring.

I shook my head and walked out my door and knocked on my dads.

"Yea!"

"Dad." I said walking in. "I'm sorry for what I said I just.." My dad put his hand up to stop me from talking. He stood up and walked towards me and hugged me.

"I will never forget your mother. She meant so much to me but I can't hold on forever. I miss her too and she would never be forgotten and I'm sorry im just now bringing it up for the first time. Its the only way I can cope. I'm sorry."

"It's coo dad. I just miss her you know." I said crying. We stood there hugging for five minutes.

"Dad you said I can bring a date, right?"

"I don't know.. I was kinda hoping it was a family thing you know."

Family with the wannabe mother! HELL NO!

"But daddy." I said pouting my lips. "That's the only way I'm going to be comfortable. And can I bring Ashley the girl upstairs."

"Yea what's the deal with her? Is she really pregnant?"

"Dad that's not the point can you focus and answer my question."

He stared at me for a moment. "Please please please." I said crossing my fingers and shutting my eyes really tight.

"Okay fine." He said and I started jumping up and down hugging him.

"But first who is he?" He said looking at me in my eyes.

"He's great dad. But that's all I'm going to tell you until you meet him this Friday. I love you!" I said running out the door and into my room.

Back in my room Ashley was still sleep and I had a lot of homework to do.
