Background: Rahul and Devi are close friends (same college). They know each other for 7 years. Rahul works as a IT Project Consultant in Capgemini, He wanted to start his own restaurant business in future and Devi is a self independent intelligent girl, though she completed her Bachelors in CSE, she don't want to work in IT, she is interested in photography and was working as a free lancer. Devi's parents didn't like her decision and they want her to get married; Devi's parent found a guy for her. Devi was excited about her marriage, because she was dreaming for this big day from her childhood. Rahul was equally happy for her.
Scene 1: Devi's Marriage
Location: Bride's Room
Devi was getting ready for the marriage; Rahul is sitting in the bed and commenting about her look. Devi is getting annoyed and asked him to leave the room but he wasn't leaving the room. Instead he said that this is the last day that he can say whatever he wants and from tomorrow he has to stay away because her fiancé will not like it. Devi started confronting that Ashwin (Devi's fiancé) is not such kind of person and he will always respect her friendship. Rahul asked her what she will do if Ashwin is not allowing her to speak to him after marriage. She looked at Rahul and started crying that Ashwin will not do that. Seeing Devi crying, Rahul went and hugged her. Rahul said that he was just joking and said sorry. Devi's mom came into the room and seeing her daughter crying, asked her what happened. Devi said that Rahul is making her cry. Devi's mom gave a gentle slap to Rahul and asked him to go out of the room as Devi should change her saree. Rahul left the room.
When he stepped out, Rahul saw Ashwin waving his hand from the opposite room (Groom's room). Rahul went there. Ashwin greeted him and asked him what Devi is saying about him. Rahul replied that Devi likes him (Ashwin) so much and she also told him that Ashwin is a perfect husband for any girl in this world. Ashwin smiled and went out of the room to the stage. Rahul saw Devi coming out of the room, she was looking very beautiful and she was extremely happy. Marriage happened smoothly. Ashwin has arranged for party in I bar, Bangalore for all his friends and Devi's friends for the coming weekend.
Scene 2: After Marriage
Location: Rahul's house
After the marriage, Rahul reached his house. He stays with his friends in Bangalore and his parents are in Vellore (native). That night Rahul and his friends had a party in Rahul's place. Rahul's friend told him that they always thought that Rahul and Devi to get married. Rahul smiled and replied that the relationship with Devi is something more than a friendship but not necessary that it should end in marriage. Rahul said that all these while there was someone who understood him and was available all the time when needed, now things will change and this is the nature of life.
Scene 3: Weekend
Location: I Bar
Rahul had some official meeting and was totally frustrated with the work, so he called up Devi and said that he will not be able to come to the party. Devi started yelling at him and asked him to reach as soon as possible. With no interest Rahul went to I bar but he was an hour late. The moment he entered, he could see all his friends having fun and playing around near the pool. Devi waved her hand and asked him to come. Rahul went to her and gave a gentle hug to both Ashwin and Devi. Devi asked her what happened to him, why is he dull. Rahul replied saying that there was a delay in his project delivery and the clients are escalating it. Devi asked him to relax and offered him a drink. Rahul took the drink, but still he was thinking about his escalation. Devi interrupted him and asked him to relax. All of a sudden, Devi asked him to see a girl who is behind him. Rahul was not interested. Ashwin also told Rahul that the girl is hot and he can give a try.
Rahul casually turned but accidently the girl hit his hand and his drink fell down. Rahul looked at the girl; she was stunning, immensely attractive. She said sorry. Rahul said it's ok. Rahul couldn't take his eyes off her. She found it weird and asked him what he is looking at. Rahul to her surprise told her that she is very beautiful and asked her can he get her a drink. She said no. Rahul immediately said "Then please get me a drink as you had dropped mine" and smiled at her. She looked at Rahul and said that she knows that he is hitting on her but she is not interested in men. She called another girl and introduced Rahul that she is her girl friend and she is a lesbian. Rahul was confused and was not sure what to say. She was about to leave. Immediately Rahul stopped her and said that he is either interested in a girl and he is a gay. All his friends including Ashwin and Devi where starring at him. The girl giggled and asked him what his name. Rahul introduced himself and asked her what her name. She replied her is Prashanthi Arora. Both started talking and they went to the bar counter. Devi and Ashwin saw that and they started laughing.
