The summer begins

Summer time is literally the best. I can't wait to go to the beach, hang out with friends, and just be able to relax, if only this stupid bell would ring. I've been sitting in this class( not listening of course) for about thirty minutes and can't wait a second longer before it rings. College is way different from high school and since it's only my first year, I'm still getting the hang of it(even though I've already been here a whole year!). I'm pretty good in my studies and thats mostly because I don't have any friends here except for my roommate Chelsea. We're pretty close because we live in the same room but she doesn't have any of my classes so it's tough be besties. My schedule is: I go to classes, go back to the dorms, eat( sometimes ), and sleep. It gets very boring but hey, that's college life. Summer is finally going to be my opportunity to get a change of  scenery. Michigan is a nice place but the beach is my calling.

The class is about to end and my professor says to the class that their summer classes will be open to each and every one of us. Ha! I laugh to my self, Like that's going to happen. I'm getting myself out of here for the summer.

I walk back to my dorm with a new sense of freedom. On the way I bump into Chelsea who is just as excited as I am.
"So what are you planning to do this summer?" She asks, her brown, golden hair twirling around her face.
"Well, I'm probably going to head down to North Carolina where my family has a beach house. Luckily for me, their going to be in Alaska. They asked me to come but I just really wanted to be at the beach this summer."
"Wow, your so lucky! I'm probably just going to be stuck here. My family live in the Bahamas now and I would go out to see them but neither of us has enough money. I guess those summer classes sound fun." Her eyes drop to the ground as she kicks a stone out of the path. No way was she going to be stuck here all summer. I just wouldn't allow it.
"Ha! Those classes wouldn't be fun even if they were taught by a movie star. You better be ready to pack your bags cause your coming with me." Her eyes meet mine and a bright smile spreads across her face.
"Really? OMG your the best!" She says and then snakes her tan arms around my body. I give her a quick squeeze and realize that this would be the perfect opportunity to get to know her better.

As we're turning down the hallway that leads to our room, my face smacks straight into a soft and highly perfumed girl.
"Oh, I'm so sorry I didn't mean to run into you" I breath out but once I realize who I smacked into that same breath gets caught in my throat.
"Jessica? Oh, I'm sorry... I wasn't looking where I was going and... Um... It was an accident."
"Oh, a freshmen... No need to worry, accidents happen. Just make sure it doesn't happen again, okay?" She says with a sweet yet stern voice. I nod and quickly step out of her way as she struts down the hallway. I let out the breath I was holding in and turn to Chelsea. Jessica Bradly was the most popular girl on campus and the one that ranks your own popularity. The one thing that hasn't chance since highschool is popularity and mean girls. Once we're in our room, Chelsea and I quickly pack our belongings and head to dinner. On the way, Chelsea and I talk about the incident and how dumb it was to have someone more popular than the rest and how if we we're given the chance, we would be a good kind of popular.

The cafeteria was filled by the time we got there so there wasn't many places to sit. I scanned the room and my eyes landed on Jessica and her gang. I averted my eyes quickly and turned back to Chelsea. I then heard my name being called and once I looked to see who was calling me, I was shocked. Jessica? Why? How did she know my name?

"Juliet! Hey over here! You and your friend come sit with us." She hollered across the room which made everyone turn their eyes to me and Chelsea. She waved us over with her overly primped nails and a huge smile on her face. What was up? I shyly sauntered over to her with Chelsea on my tail. Once we got close enough, she patted a seat next to her telling me that I should sit next there. Luckily, their was a set opened next to that one so Chelsea could sit to. Once seated, I looked at her giving her a questioning look which she answered with a smile
"I didn't get to fully introduce myself when we bumped into each other in the hallway. I'm Jessica Badly and I'm so glad that you attended this school this year; I really hope you come back next year for sophomore year." Her smile was wide and showed off her straight pearly whites. I smiled at her shyly.
"I believe I am. I'm Juliet Wilson and this is my roommate Chelsea Smith. Thank you for letting us sit with you." I say
"No problem. So I heard form a little birdie that your going to the beach this summer. That sounds so nice... If it's not to much trouble, could I maybe use your beach house for a night before I travel down to see my grandparents in Florida?"
The question shocks me and I didn't know how to answer. Why would she want to use my beach house? Honestly, that doesn't matter, I just can't believe that she is actually asking me.

"Sure, of course you can and that would actually work out great for me and Chelsea because we need a car to get down there."
"Oh, perfect! Thank you so much. I really didn't want to stop at a hotel and now I don't. Well, I'll talk to you guys later, wait... When are you planning to leave so I can start packing?"
"Well, we were thinking on Sunday, so in two days." I say to her
"Great!" She replies," I'll be ready by then and thanks!" With that she jumps up and walks out the doors. This is going to be an interesting trip.
