It Begins

Chresanto Pov .

"Damn it!" I slammed my fist against the walls. I hate The Purge , stupid shit . I have to keep my family safe but how can I ? There are so many people after me that I don't even know. I just need to keep my wife , Kiloni and my two daughters, Loni and Kiya safe.

" Baby what are going to do ? " Kiloni asked me.

" I'm going out there " I replied through stern teeth.

" But ba-- "

" Look when I walk out there , just lock all doors , windows and the garage! I already boarded up the house and if anybody comes in pull the alarm and I will come. Okay? "

" Baby I'm scared , please don't go. Please stay with us baby." Kiloni cried out

" I'm sorry , but family comes first" I kissed her forehead.

" O - ok but what do I tell the babies ? They are only 5 for god sakes."

" Tell them nothing."

I walked into the neighborhood and heard gunshots and people crying . Damn , 5 mins into the purge and people already getting killed. I took out my gun and ran.

Rayan Pov.

I looked in the mirror and then my fiancé , India walked in and gave me a kiss .

" Bae be safe. "

" Don't worry about me , I got a bag full of grenades , I'm strapped with guns , got on my bullet proof vest and got a knife in my boot ! "

" Ray I know but still I'm just scared , and I'm going to be here by myself "

" Don't be , I' mean I will try my best to meet up with the boys because Prod leaving Dae , so you're not alone! "

" Baby , please come back tomorrow" India wiped her tears looking down at her feet.

" Don't worry , by the time you wake up , I will be in the bed with my arms wrapped around you." I smiled and kissed her cheek.

" Okay." She smiled and walked upstairs.

I put on my shades and walked out the house like a boss.

Craig Pov.

So , I'm sitting here eating my chicken when all of sudden I get this phone call.

-Phone Call-

" Hello." I answered between bites.

" I'm coming to kill you tonight and your family at 9:30 so look out !"

" The fu-" The line clicked , ending the phone call. What the fuck?

" Dae Dae" I yelled .

" I'm up here twerking baby." She screamed from upstairs over the music that boomed through my crib.

" Oh my gosh , baby come here." I chuckled , waiting for her to come.

" Ima' miss you. Be safe." Dae slid down the stairs and jumped on me.

"Ima' miss you too but , I need you to run to Apriela and Prince house as soon as I leave." I held her waist , looking her in the eyes.

" I can't do that I might get killed or some shit." She started getting all emotional and started crying.

" Baby you a fast runner and their house is right down the street."

" Bae , I can't do this." She laid her head on my shoulder , sobbing.

" Well , you will today and it's for your safety." I lifted her up and kissed her nice lips.

" Bye." She jumped off of me and grabbed her coat.

" Okay ima miss you." I said giving her one last look.

" I will too Prod." She looked down at her feet. I loved her so much man , I just hope we both make it out. I can't believe I'm leaving her but it's for her safety because deep inside I know , I just know a nigga will die tonight but it ain't going to be me .

Dae Pov.

I cried my eyes out , but there was nothing else I could do. I grabbed my Galaxy and ran ... ran I just kept running.

Jacob Pov.

I had everything' ready. Grenades? Check. Guns ? Check. Phone? Check. I just needed Apriela and out daughter Bella Marie Perez to be okay. That's all I needed to be honest. I didn't care if I died tonight. I just want my babies to be safe.

" So you got to go? " Apriela started crying like we hadn't been talking about this night for the past few weeks.

"Do you want to die?" I asked curious.

" No I don't , but I don't want you to either! You go out there and I know you will die. I know you will JACOB!"

" Daddy what are me and mom supposed to do? " Bella walked into the living room with tears stained cheeks.

" Baby I love both of y'all and you know that . Bella you are going to put the house on lock down where nobody can enter or go out."

" Baby no." Apriela stood on her tippy toes and kissed me.

" Look sweetie you're a strong woman and Bella you're old enough to stay strong too." I ran my fingers through my Afro and gave my beautiful wife a peck on the lips.

" Dad I don't understand all of this stuff." Bella yelled.

Apriela pulled Bella and I into a hug and we just stood in silence for a moment.

" Everything's going to be okay." I sighed , rubbing both of their backs. Even though deep inside , I knew everything would not be okay.

"Dad , nothing's ever okay." Bella released me from her grip and ran up stairs crying.

I looked down at my watch and pecked Apriela's lips one more time. " I got to go baby."

I walked out the door and all I hear is commotion and it's only 6:10. This thing doesn't end until 5:00 am.
