Dinner with the friend and his son

Regina's POV- The Next Day

Just yesterday I met Robin and I've been texting him non stop. We called each other last night and he and Roland are coming over dinner. We agreed that they would come over at 6:00. I was so excited I didn't know what to wear. But I found a pink and black sequence top and black skinny jeans paired with a pair of black high heels. When I put the lasagna in the oven I sat down on the couch and wrote a poem. Like I normally do when I have free time.

Walking in a field
Full of pink flowers
As my soulmate sweeps
Me off my feet to carry me
As I lay my tired head on his shoulder
I close my sleepy eyes and dream
Of Wonderland
Just me and him

You know I was thinking that could be me and Robin but I don't think he would want someone like me. I mean I only have one leg and I'm a cancer patient. When I finished the poem, the lasagna was ready and just as I took the food out of the oven the door bell rings. Dragging my prosthetic leg over to the door I open it up and there stood there in awe of how handsome he looked.

Robin's POV -1 hour before going to Gina's house

I didn't know what to wear but I knew one thing: I wanted to impress Regina. I mean I'm in love with her. I don't care if she has cancer or a prosthetic I love her no matter what. I finally found something to wear. My blue dress top, a pair of blue skinny jeans, my brown dress shoes and to finish it I put on my dark navy blue scarf. Perfect I think to my self. I was just walking out of the master bedroom when Roland came out with a pair of black dress pants, a white dress top and a bow tie. He put his pointer finger and thumb on both hands, up like guns and made click sound with his mouth like he was in a action movie. "Whoa Roland we're not going to a funeral" I say trying to hold back giggles. "I know but I wanted to dress nicely" Roland says fixing his bow tie. "I know how much you like Regina and I like her too so I'm trying to make a good impression for your sake" Roland said walking out the front door to the car. I follow and drive straight to Regina's.

At Regina's - Robin's POV

I knock on her door and give a nervous smile to Roland. I heard a huff and the sound of high heels behind the door. Regina opened the door and stared at me, I just stared back admiring how stunning she looked. She stepped back to let us through the door. Me and Roland walked in, Roland gave Regina the rose he found at a flower shop before we arrived. She smiled and lead us through the living room to the kitchen. "This is a big house" Roland says in awe. "I agree with the lad, this is a very big house are you a model and superstar behind your illness?" I ask, leaning my elbow and arm on the island in the kitchen. Regina turned around from the stove and smiled at me. "No, this was my mother's before she died" Regina says.  I looked around the house. Looking at paintings, wall art and the pictures she has on the wall and on tables. I spot one with her and a little boy. She looks happy. I lift the frame up and see her and the boy who looks to be about 5 smiling and laying on grass. I take the picture to Regina. "Who is this?" I ask her, pointing my finger to the boy. Regina sighed and blinked a few times. "That's my son, Henry" Regina stats, wiping a tear away. "He was five, he had the same cancer as me" Regina says crying. I wrap my arm around her and pull her in so she is leaning her head on my shoulder. "What happened" I ask, kissing her forehead.

"He lost his battle" Regina put her hand over her mouth to control her sobs. I pull her into a real hug and kiss her hair. Trying to calm her is hard. She continuous to sob until I pull her away and she looks into my eyes. "It's not your fault" I say, putting a strand of hair behind her ear. "I know" She says. Regina's breathing eased out quickly after I talked to her for a few minutes. "Now let's go eat" I say.

After supper, me, Regina and Roland decided to watch a movie. Robin Hood .  Roland thinks that I'm the real Robin Hood and that I end up with Marian in this movie but he told us that Marian is Regina. Roland is on the big chair beside the couch, while be and Regina are on the couch. After the movie was finished Roland was already asleep, Regina leaded her head on my shoulder and yawed. "Getting sleepy?" I ask her, whispering. She nods and closes her eyes. "You both can stay here tonight" Regina says with her eyes closed.  I lean down to kiss her forehead but she flashes her eyes before I could. She stares into my eyes and down to my lips. I place my hand on her cheek so I'm caressing it and she gulps. I lean in and capture her lips on mine. She places her hands in my hair as she falls back on the couch. She pulls back and looks into my eyes. "I've loved you since the first moment I saw you" Regina says. I smile and kiss her again.

"And I'll love you until my last"
