The Bad Boy I Didn't See Coming

Chapter 1:

Kaitlyn's POV
It's the first day of school, seeing all the freshman walk in and instantly noticing who is Queen B, like in every class. I suddenly hear my name being called, I spin around as my dress I have on twirls around me. I see a girl figure with blonde, medium length hair and glasses wearing a simple outfit running to me at full speed " Kaitlyn I missed you!" My best friend Alex screams and she crashes into me making me almost fall over.

" I missed you too Alex but I just saw you a week ago" I laugh and smile at her, almost being the same height but only a few inches shorter as I stand at 5'3.

"I know but I still missed you" she says sticking out her lip. "I almost died without you" as she holds back laughs taking a step back from me to look at my outfit "damn my best friend is hot!" She says a bit loud

"Alex" I yell a little and my cheeks starting to feel hot at the blush rushes to them. "Don't need to yell it out to everyone" I say smiling and looking down, and then I see him. A tall guy with black hair, blue eyes and muscular. Wearing dark jeans and a white tee my eyes widen "who is that?" I ask Alex.

"I don't know but he's good looking" she responds with a laugh and the bell rings to get to class. Alex and I hug quickly and head off to class. I sit down in the middle of the room for history and the Mrs. Sailor comes up to me giving me a note that says 'as one of our best students at springboard we would like you to show Calum around' I look at it confused and shrug thinking well new year new people. When he walks in and sits a row behind and to the left of me, sitting silently because he doesn't know anyone I assume. The tardy bell rings for class to start

"welcome students of springboard high I'm Mrs. Sailor for those of you who don't know me, today we will start to introduce you all to me. Who would like to start?" She asks as I look around not wanting to be first "Miss. King would you like to start us off?" She asks and I think to myself are you kidding me?! Right off the bat? I stand and with a smile

"Hi I'm Kaitlyn and currently a Junior here at springboard" I sit back down with a smile and I can feel someone looking at me but ignore it. Mrs. Sailor gets through the rest of the people and gets to the new kid and he stands up "I'm Calum, and I'm new here so yeah" he says and sits back down looking at me as he talks. Mrs. Sailor smiles and looks at me
"Would you like to show him around now?" She asks me. I return with a nod and stand up as we walk out of the class room. "So I'm Kaitlyn, and I guess I am going to show you around so what's your next class?" I ask smiling at him but he sort of towers over me self note: don't make this guy mad.

"Um it looks like I have chemistry?" He says in a deep voice and puts on a smirk.

"Oh I have that 3rd hour so I can easily show you that one" I laugh a little.

I show him around the school and where everything important is as he mostly stays quiet at first but then tries to make conversations as we get close to finishing up. " well that is our lovely school of springboard" I smile and notice his eyes scanning me but doesn't say anything "B-but if you need anything, I'm not that far" I smile and instantly blush as he finishes checking me and smirks again.

"Thanks, I'll know who to come to" he smiles and the bell rings for the end of class "see you around darlin" he smiles and walks away. Leaving me in shock and standing in the hallway, I snap out of my trance and head to art, that should get my mind off of things.

Calum's POV

"Calum get up!" my mom yells from downstairs "You'll be late for your first day of school!" I grown as she yells knowing if I don't get up she will come up here and get me up. I sit up and run my fingers through my hair

"damn new school" I mumble to myself while stretching and standing as I walk to my dresser and take a quick shower and get ready. I put on a white T-shirt and dark jeans and head downstairs seeing my mom sitting at the kitchen with coffee while reading on her phone. "I gotta go" I tell her while grabbing my leather jacket and heading out the door before she can take pictures or anything. I hop on my bike and start it letting it warm up a little as I put on my jacket then drive to school.

I pull up and park as people instantly look at me not knowing who I am. Some girls start giggling and I roll my eyes getting off my bike and walk inside only till next year I tell myself and walk to the office getting my list and they tell me who will show me around "probably some preppy girl" I say as I walk down the hallway. I hear some girl screaming another girls name "Kaitlyn" She says and a girl with long brown hair spins around wow she's beautiful I think to myself as she almost gets tackled by the other girl. I shake my head then continue walking to my locker.

I walk into the class and see her sitting down as she's reading something and I sit down and she looks at me with bright blue eyes and smiles as she turns back around. Suddenly the bell rings and the teacher introduces herself as Mrs. Sailor. She looks at the girl and says "Miss. King will you start us off?" She asks.

"Hi I'm Kaitlyn and currently a Junior here at Springboard." She smiles and sits back down Kaitlyn? is she the one showing me around? Everyone else goes and she asks me to introduce myself so I stand up and introduce myself as she looks at me as I talk.

"I'm Calum, and I'm new here so yeah" and I sit back down
