"It's been really rainy this week." He mumbled to himself. Eren sat in his favorite café with a hot chocolate and a blueberry muffin in his hands. He did this every morning before his classes started. He was in his second year of college and since the café was close to his dorm and his first class of the day he always liked to get breakfast there. Eren wanted to do something with his life but first he had to finish college, had have to deal with rude professors and his less than average job as a cashier at a gas station. While he was rushing to his class try not to get caught in rain he bumped into his sister. "Good morning to you too." She said with a glare "yeah I know I'm sorry I just can't be late to class you know Mr. Smith will kill me if I am, ill text you later maybe we could have a movie marathon or something." "Ok, but remember you still owe me forty dollars from that bet you lost." "Yeah thanks for reminding me" He said sarcastically "bye." "Later"

Eren got to his class freezing, but just in time and went on with the rest of his day like any other. Wake up, Get breakfast, got to classes, go to work on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays, sleep, repeat. He wanted something to change, something exciting to happen like winning a vacation to Italy on a contest, or win the lottery, or make a new friend so he wasn't so lonely. He only had his sister and his childhood friend Armin. Maybe if he made a new friend he could go camping with them this summer break or go laser tag. His sister, Mikasa, never wanted to go with him or Armin because it was "stupid and wasted time" he was use to her quiet, grumpy personality but sometimes he wished she was a little more friendly. After his classes Eren went to his dorm got into his uniform and went to work since it was Monday. Then when he got back to his dorm he instantly fell asleep.

When he woke up the next morning it was raining again. No surprise there. He got ready for the day ahead and went to the café down the street. When he walked in there was about four people there, probably college students getting food before classes like him. He ordered the same thing as always, a hot chocolate and a blueberry muffin, then sat down where he usually does, in the front up on a bar stool the faces a window that gives a view of all people rushing to get out of the rain. Eren wasn't paying attention to anything but the rain falling outside so he jumped a little when someone spoke to him. "Pretty shity weather lately huh?" Eren looked at the person now sitting beside him. "Um yeah I guess but it could be worse." "True" they sat in silence for a few minutes while Eren finished his food. "So. You go to that college up the street?" the stranger suddenly asked "uh yeah I do, I got to go to class in a few minutes actually." "Cool, I moved here a few weeks ago so I could go there I hope it's worth it" "It's really nice there. The dorms are pretty nice and some of the professors aren't that strict. Hope you like it there" "yeah me too" ... "well uh I got to go it was nice meeting you. Um I'll see you around campus I guess" "later" Eren threw away his trash, tipped the waitress, and headed off to class.

The next morning was the same. Wake up, get ready, go to the café, exchange small talk with the person he still didn't know the name of, then go to class. It went on like that for the rest of the year until finals came up. Eren went to the café less and studied more. He kind of missed going to the café and talking to that person, but he had to study. After finals were over he started going to the café like he use to every morning, but this time no classes. And no one to talk to. He hasn't seen that person since he stopped coming to the café.

"Thought I'd never see you here again, thought I scared you off." "Yeah sorry I had to study and-" "yeah I know we all did, I'm just pulling your leg" Eren chuckled a little "so then how do you think you did on finals?" "Eh I don't think I aced them with flying colors but I think I passed." Eren said as he shrugged his shoulders "Fair enough, what about you?" "Well with all the studying I did I hope I did pretty well" "well I never got to introduce myself so hi my name is Levi" he stuck out a hand towards Eren, He shook it and smiled. "Hi I'm Eren" "So Eren what do you plan on doing during break?" Eren thought for a second "Well the plan was go back home with the family but since I don't exactly have the money and car to travel I'm just going to stay in my dorm and fry my brain with endless TV and video games just like every other holiday." "Hmm sounds like a pretty fun time to me." "Well yeah but it's pretty lonely though, my sister is going to meet her boyfriend's family and stay there for the summer and my friend is going to New York City to do some photography and they're both leaving me here." Eren said with a little disappointment "Well my sister is going to Las Vegas with a group of her friends and leaving me here too." Eren chuckled a bit. "Well Vegas sounds fun I've always wanted to go there" "its ok but if you're not twenty one there's not much to do, it's all casinos, bars and clubs.

"Well good thing I'm twenty two then huh?" "What? You're twenty two? You look like your fresh out of high school" Eren laughed a little at that statement. "Yes I'm twenty two I know I don't

look it but that's probably because of my height right?" "Well no you're actually pretty tall. Well tall compared to me" he chuckled "yeah you are pretty short" "shut your mouth" Levi punched him in the arm. Eren laughed "hey I'm just stating the obvious no need to get violent" after that they just sat down in silence just watching the people passing by and occasionally commenting on a person that caught their attention. "It's been pretty rainy this year" Eren mumbled "yeah I know all it does is track mud everywhere and get everything wet" Levi said with an obvious distaste. Maybe this year won't be as boring as the last. "Hey want to go prank one of the professors before they leave?" Levi asked. "Of course I do, who wouldn't?" Eren said with a smirk on his face as he got up to throw his trash away, Levi following him. Maybe he won't fry his brain with endless TV and video games this summer
