Preface

Is love good or evil?

    Love can make you feel like you're flying. Love can make you feel wonderful, and like nothing in the world can possibly go wrong as long as you have this other person with you. You're heart seems to take over the rest of your body and every fiber of your being just screams to be with this other person. They make you feel like you're floating, like you can get through anything. Love can change you and make you see things through different eyes. Love can make you happy beyond your wildest dreams. Your heart takes over when you start to fall in love and it controls the rest of your body and your mind and the way you think. Suddenly every fiber of your being screams to be with this other person and whenever you're not with them, it feels like it's raining on your heart and it just screams and screams for that other person. And then you see their face again, and everything is once again okay in the world.

    Love can also make you feel broken inside. Love can tear you apart from the inside out. It can feel like there are broken shards of glass inside your chest stabbing you. It's almost like you can feel your heart literally breaking, almost like you can hear it too. And suddenly you're falling and screaming but no one can hear you, and you wonder how no one notices how you're on a downward spiral and you just need someone to catch you but no one does. You continue falling, with the world around you melting away and all you can see is the blackness and all you can feel is the cold. It's so cold that it feels like ice creeping inside your chest, encasing your heart in an icy chamber where it's trapped. Love can make you feel like you're drowning in a sea of tears and what is left of your heart continues to call for that other person, but its voice is also shattered, and when you're alone and lying in bed you wrap your arms around yourself because you're afraid that if you let go, then you'll fall to pieces. You're a mess because of love. The love broke you and who knows if you'll ever be the same?

    So is love good or evil? I haven't decided yet.
