I decided to add Chloe's POV for what happened last chapter. After this it will progress!
Chloe's POV
I received my letter today saying I have been approved to teach as a health teacher at a nearby high school.
"We are so proud of you honey!" my mom came up giving me a hug.
"We would be more proud if you were becoming a doctor..." my dad murmured.
"John. No more of that talk." my mom said giving him a stern look.
"Chloe I can't wait to tell everyone at tonight's party about how you're going to become an amazing teacher."
"Mom I was going to attend, but um, I have to go to the school and get ready."
"You can go tomorrow!" she frowned.
"Sorry I really have to go. I want to be extra prepared for my first year."
"She's right honey. Go prepare for work Chloe."
"Thanks Dad, I'll see you guys later."
I didn't have to go to school, but I really didn't want to go to that party. I knew my parents would introduce me to the other doctors and I really didn't like exhausting myself over that. Besides they would try to introduce me to guys I would never date and they didn't know I wasn't interested in guys.
I decided to go to a restaurant nearby. As I entered, I saw how packed it was. Walking toward the bar I saw someone that grabbed my attention. She had long brown hair with green eyes and a killer smile when talking to the bar tender. I decided to go sit next to her before anyone else did.
"You alright?" I asked when I heard her cough.
When she turned around I couldn't help but smile.
"Do you mind if I sit with you?" I asked.
"Uh, sure." She quickly looked down, but I was quick to see her face get a bit red.
"I'll have a tropical cocktail," I said to the bar tender sitting down.
When I asked her what she was doing here, she said she was getting ready for school. Oh a college student I thought to myself. I told her that I was becoming a health teacher and so I would be going to school in few days too.
"Haha looks like school has students and teachers drinking for their first day." I giggled a little when she said "Wait, you're too young to be a teacher and with your looks the class wouldn't be able to focus."
I wasn't sure if that was supposed to be a compliment or she was trying to flirt with me.
"I'm 22 so I guess I am pretty young. Not too brag but I'm pretty smart and come from a family full of doctors." I paused for a moment before asking "Are you saying that I'm pretty?" I leaned in a bit hoping she would flirt back.
"Y-yeah, you are I think."
"You think? Haha" I guess it was a compliment.
We ended up talking for a bit when she asked "Do you have a boyfriend?"
"No haha do you?"
"Nope."
"Girlfriend?" I asked.
"No um, never did actually." Ugh there goes my chance.
"Do you?" she asked.
"Nope! I did a while back though."
