Life of The Party

I walk into the crowd with my beautiful wife at my side.
"This party's amazing!!" She yelled to me over the blaring music.
"So are you baby." I smirked, pulled her close  and kissed her.
We danced at Adam's party dressed in our skeleton makeup and costume for a while.
"Hey let's get something to drink!" She yells to me.
"Okay." I yelled back

She dragged me over to the refreshment table and grabbed two beers and opened them for us. We where laughing and drinking together by the table until...
I saw him.
I stared behind Sarah in shock.
"Wha- what are you looking at...?" She turned her head and saw him too.
I never told her about me and Ryan's relationship in the past. I had no reason to. I was happily married and he was out of my life forever.
But god he was even more beautiful then the last time I saw him. Years ago. He's now all grown up and even in that Gremlin costume he looks really good.
"Bren baby go talk to him!" Sarah said to me.
"I-I... What do I say?? It's been so long..."
"Just say hi to him... It's time you guys talked again..."
"I-okay..."

I took a deep breath and walked towards him.
"Haha yeah well I'll see ya!" I heard him say  to whoever he was talking and turned around and saw me.
God he was beautiful.
"B?" He said in shock.
"Hey Ry." I gave him a shy smile.
"Holy shit..." He said so I could barely hear him. I chuckled in response.
"God Bren how are you!?" He said and gave me a hug. I took in his scent. God I missed his hugs.
"Good. I've been good." I replied.
"Hey Ryan! It's so good to see you again!" Sarah walked over to us.
"Haha hey Sarah." He gave her a small smile. I knew how he felt about her. But he couldn't honestly feel that way about her anymore... I'm just an old friend to him now... Not a secret lover, best friend, or band mate... Just an old friend, an ex secret lover, an ex band mate. His voice broke my train of thought. God his voice.
"Hey do you guys want to go to the other room and talk where it's not so loud? It be really nice to catch up!"
"Yeah, of course!" I said and followed him to another empty room with Sarah.
"So gosh how's everything going? How's the band?" He said with... Was that sadness in his eyes??
"It's going great! The new albums coming out next year."
"Cool. Cool. And uh how's Spence doin?... I haven't talked to him in forever... I heard he's been in a bad place..."
"He's actually doing really good. He's gotten his help. He's actually engaged right now."
"Wow that's really great! Good for him!"
"Hey uh i'm ganna go say thanks to Adam for inviting us and let you guys catch up for a bit." Sarah cut in.
"Oh okay." I replied and kissed her quick before she left the room.
"So uh how's music goin for you Ry?"
I asked nervously. We're alone...
He just laughed "not as good as I was hoping for..."
"Awh you're ganna get there trust me. I listened to your stuff... It's pretty great."
His eyes lit up as he looked at me with a... Loving? Smile...?
"Y-you did?"
"Yeah you're amazing..."
I starred into his eyes for a while unknowingly until I realized he was too.
"God Brendon I can't do this anymore."
"Do wha-"
And before I knew it he was on his feet, his hands on my cheeks and kissing me. It took me a while to realize what was happening and then I kissed him back. We both slowly stood up together and I wrapped my arms around his waist, pulling him in close.
We kissed for a while until we needed air. I opened my eyes and saw him. The beautiful man I fell in love with 11 years ago, and still was. I noticed there where tears in his eyes as well as mine.
"God baby I missed you so much." His voice cracked as he pulled me in for a hug. I choked back a sob. He missed me... He still cares...
"I missed you too Ryro."
He choked out a laugh.
"I missed hearing you say that nickname, no one says it better then you." He pulled back from the hug and sat down on the couch. I sat down with him and lay my head on his chest.
"I thought you didn't care about me anymore..."
He looked at me with shocked eyes. Like he couldn't believe I had just said that.
"Bren- No! Never!" He said and pulled me in for another long kiss. This caused me to cry harder.

We lay there for a while and Ryan rubbed my back until I calmed down again. When I did he spoke the words i'll never forget.
"I never stopped loving you Brendon Urie. And no matter who I end up with. I will never EVER love anyone the way I love you."
And with that I looked up at him and blinked back tears.
"I love you too Ryan Ross."
He let out a small laugh and pulled me close and kissed the top of my head, forehead, nose, cheeks, and then looked at my lips and kissed them again slowly lifting my chin up with his free hand that wasn't wrapped around my waist. We eventually moved away from the kiss and I rested my head on his chest and he went back to rubbing my lower back.
"I never want this night to end." I whispered.
