Hinata has always been in love with Naruto. Always helping and protecting him. She never felt any other feeling towards him but love. Until Gaara came around, she felt an odd attraction towards him. Hinata wanted to know more about him. She just forgot about Naruto.
In the outskirts of the Hidden Leaf Village.
"Hey, good morning Hinata" yelled Naruto at the top of his lungs.
Hinata got apple red, like always. She started to stutter trying to respond.
"Go-good morning" Hinata answered.
Naruto smiled at her and ran along leaving Hinata blushing. Hinata walked her way to Ichiraku's Ramen to eat breakfast. Her father was there, talking with the villagers and what not. Hinata wasn't surprised so she sat down and waited for her father to finish talking. Her father told her earlier that he needed to speak with him about something important. Suddenly, Kakashi's team entered and sat by Hinata. She seemed surprised and happy as well.
"Hinata" Sakura called out.
Hinata gave her a gentle wave. Then she glanced at Naruto with the corner of her eye. Naruto noticed and she blushed. Sasuke looked angry as ever.
"What are you doing here?" asked Naruto.
"I-I was... se-sent by my father" tried her best to respond.
Her father rushed his way towards their tables after noticing that they all arrived. He stood in front of them with a very serious face. Naruto tried to break the ice with a joke.
"You need a bowl of ramen, Mr. Hinata" joked Naruto.
Mr. Hyuga still had the face but was annoyed.
"Naruto, refer to me as Mr. Hyuga and I don't need a bowl of ramen" Hyuga responded.
Everyone was in the awkward silence again then Mr.Hyuga. He sat down in front of them and stared at Hinata.
"I have a task for you four" says Mr. Hyuga.
Hinata and everyone seemed confused. They didn't know why he wanted them of all the people to perform this task.
"I want you to deliever this relic to the Hidden in the sand village"
